PERDITUS

Perditus      An Indie & Private Multimuse blog featuring characters from Genshin + HSR + Naruto + BNHA + KNY + JJK.
   written by  Flowers  (they/them, 21+)

This section will not show up on the carrd itself, this is here for instruction purposes only. You can delete this section if you want. If you have an issue or need help that isn't covered in the tips below, you are welcome to contact me for help via my askbox @rcsea on tumblr.

Terms of Use

  • Edit as much as you like, but don't remove any credits present. They are the small © symbols. Leave them alone. You may change the color to match your custom palette for your carrd but do not make them invisible or hard to see.

  • Don't claim as your own work OR use this template as a base for a different template OR use it for any commissions, paid or not. If you use this template, I don't care how much you edit it, go wild, but the credit has to stay intact and you cannot claim it as your own.

  • Do not use to promote illegal, harmful, or hateful content. No burn books, no hate blogs, no callout blogs, nothing of the sort.

How to Add More Muse Bios

  • At the bottom of the previous muse info section (should be the very bottom of the carrd unless you add other things), add a new #sectionbreak and name it what you wish. If you don't know how to do that, you can just copy the #muse1 break but you MUST rename it. Every section must have an individual name to link to, even if you just go with something simple like #muse1 #muse2 #muse3, so on and so forth.

  • Directly below that, add a scroll point  ( the yellow line ),  or as mentioned above, copy the previous scroll point and rename it if you don't know how to set one up.

  • Copy everything between  #muse1  and your new section and drag everything into place. Make sure you highlight the individual containers to delete instead of each individual element as that will save lots of time by copying and moving things all at once. If done right, you should only have to copy / move four things for each new muse you add (the title + two sections + the return button), unless you also need to copy the section breaks.

  • Link to the new muse bio wherever you wish. If you link within the carrd itself, such as linking to it from the muse roster here, then you can just link with #whateveryounamedthis, but if you link outside of the carrd (i.e. from tumblr) then you need to put the full link. So your link would be ( https://yourcarrdname.carrd.co/#whateveryounamedthis ).

How to Add Muses to the Roster

  • The muses are divided into rows of three. There is a new container for every row to prevent uneven spacing. To add more muses, you need to duplicate the container as a new one instead of adding to the same one, keeping only to a row of three per container.

  • Make a copy of the image and description sections and move them into place. There should only be two things to copy per new muse.

  • If a row has an empty space with no muse, click on the container, select the column that is empty (left, middle, or right) and check the box that says "use as spacer". If you have two muses in a row instead of three and want them to center, delete the empty column and the other two will adjust automatically. If you need to re-add the column later when adding another muse, just click "add column" and the sizes should also automatically adjust in that case as well.

How to Add More Categories

  • Make a new yellow scroll point and place it between the last category container and the dividing line before the "scroll to top" button, or wherever you want your new category to go if not at the bottom. Give the scroll point a unique name.

  • Copy a box with the category title and a box with the section of muses in it and move them below the new scroll point you have just made.

  • Click the category buttons at the top, add a new button, and link it to the scroll point you just made. You can rearrange the buttons if the order of the categories has changed.

Image Sizing

  • The banner on the front page is most suited for images at a 3:1 or 2:1 ratio depending on personal preference. It should be at least 1000px wide for best results. (The one that comes with the template is 2000px wide.)

  • Images on the muse roster are roughly around a 5:3 ratio. They will resize based on width, so don't worry about exact size other than matching them with each other by ratio. They work best if they are at least 360px wide or greater.

  • The tall image in the muse bio template is at a 9:16 ratio. It will also resize based on width. If you make the bio longer, you may want a taller image, or to add another column to the container so it does not outgrow the image too much and make the spacing look weird. The image here will work best with the current spacing if it is at least 450px wide or greater.

  • If you need help with image sizing, or re-sizing anything / fixing spacing, you're more than welcome to shoot me a message on my blog and I'll try to help when I can.

Introduction

Hello! My name is Flowers! As of 2024, I'll be 29 (writing this in case I don't update this for a while) and have 10+ years of roleplay experience! I've had long breaks off of tumblr and have more recently written on Discord. My DMs are always open!

001   NO DRAMA I am currently a fulltime student AND work two jobs. I genuinely don't have time to engage in any kind of online drama. This blog does NOT reblog callouts of any kind unless its a VERY serious threat. I do read them but I don't have time nor do I want to get involved in anything that isn't my business. I block people all the time to maintain my mental health and do so without bringing attention to it. I don't mind seeing callouts on my dashboard but pleace do NOT expect me to reblog them.  002   THIS IS A PRIVATE BLOG. I only write and engage with mutuals, though anyone can send me anonymous asks if they do desire. This isn't to be mean - I just am a low energy individual and would rather focus on a small group of people and muses than try to engage with everyone. I've tried in the past and its only led me to burnout. Please respect my boundaries!  003   I don't write full blown NSFW threads. I'm honestly really really bad at it LOL! I don't mind discussing NSFW topics and headcanons but I won't write any fully developed threads. I may be willing to in private but that would take a lot of trust before I get to that point. I DO NOT WRITE/DISCUSS NSFW ANYTHING WITH MINOR MUSES.  004  ORIGINAL CHARACTERS This is an OC-friendly space! I do NOT, however, write my canon villains with OCs anymore. I have had enough interactions where people complain about my villain being well...a villain to their OC. If we discuss a lot I may allow it in the future but at the moment I just don't want to be disappointed again.

005   NO MINORS. I'm like 28 and pay taxes I just don't feel comfortable engaging with minors on my tumblr. No hate intended! Please respect my boundary!  006   PATIENCE. I work two jobs and also go to school fulltime, so threads usually take me a while to knock out. You are more than welcome to poke me about a thread but please wait at least a week. I am very very very reliant on my queue so chances are your response may be in there.  007   TRIGGERS.• Realistic bug imagery - cartoonish is okay excluding spiders! No spiders at all!• Scary Clowns. Thematics/slight themes are okay. Harlequin is OK.• Realistic gore IMAGERY• Needles. IMAGERY• Excessive TikTok spam. Please limit it to once every so often not daily, I get overstimulated easily.  008   GODMODDING.Please do not control my muses without permission. I am totally okay with allowing a bit of control/assuming if the scene requires it but don't do so otherwise. I treat all my muses equally in terms of how I develop them personally. Do not assume ANYTHING without asking first.

009   SHIPPING. I ship with chemistry mainly outside of a few specific ships! I don't like to just go in with that plan without discussion, and trying to force a ship on me without my consent will likely lead to a block. OC/CANON SHIPPING IS OK WITH ME!I do NOT write the following:• minors with adults ( obviously a 17 and 18 year old are fine but like a 20 year old and 17 is absolutely not).• student/teacher or college/high school (does not matter if there isn't a big age gap)• romanticized abusive ships ( I don't mind writing complex & toxic ships but please have the maturity to handle it with care...)• de-aged adults/aged-up minors (also no de-aging someone's romantic interest...)(ROMANTIC SHIPS ONLY) pre-established connections with big age gaps. If there's more than 4-5 years difference I will not write them as having met before the youngest is 18 years old. They can know the other exists but not officially meet until the other is 18. Even if they don't establish a romantic relationship until they're both adults - I don't like the connotations whatsoever.  009   DNI if you write in the HP fandom or related muses/verse. Thank you.

Not every character has a muse page just yet! It takes about an hour per page with how detailed I like to write so bear with me <3TEST muses may or may not have a bio page until I feel comfortable with them. Their personalities are also not set in stone as I explore the character.

WRIOTHESLEY

Wriothesley has no memories of his biological parents as he was taken in by his foster parents as an infant. For a time he would imagine what they might have looked like, how they might have sounded, and if the might have loved him. It's one of the few loose ends Wriothesley has sworn to never look into, the other being the fates of his many foster siblings. It was a life he no longer claimed, names that no longer mattered and feelings that could never truly be settled. For a long time he considered himself lucky as the kids were practically pampered by their foster parents. They celebrated birthdays, received gifts and were well-fed. It was more than he could hope for given his situation, though he one day hoped he could join his older siblings in finding a permanent family when the time came. All of his siblings would watch as their older siblings left one by one to their new lives, led to believe they were being adopted by loving families. The lie was so intricate that it was not until Wriothesley was a teenager that he discovered the truth - their foster parents were actually apart of a massive human trafficking ring. Every child was cared for as 'livestock' and eventually sold off to paying customers all across Tevyat. In his anger for both himself and his siblings, Wriothesley killed his foster parents. He freed all of his foster siblings that still remained, though opted to remain by himself with the bodies as the authorities descended on them. It was such a traumatic experience that he could not even begin to think to flee, rooted in the spot until he eventually passed out. The next time he awoke it was in the hospital, chained to the bed and faced with an upcoming trial date for the crime he had willfully committed. It was also there that he decided on a new name, picked out from the newspaper at random.

During his trial Wriothesley was straightforward and honest, supplying so many details in court that the audience even felt sympathy towards him. There was no question of arguing whether he had done it - the boy admitted to it freely. Surprisingly to him, arguments pivoted instead of whether he deserved clemency given the circumstances of his situation. In the end he was still found guilty, granting him the justice he wished for. On that day he truly embraced the idea of starting over, becoming a new person with new dreams and goals. As a symbolic gesture he decided that day was his birthday, though he has never forgotten his biological one.Wriothesley served his time completely, though it was not without its own set of challenges. The first one being the sudden acquisition of his vision, granted to him during his paperwork filing. He kept it hidden for the most part, training in secret in order to avoid being targeted as a vision holder. Surprisingly, Wriothesley was prone to engaging in fights though always with a clear purpose in mind. Often times he battled the resident bullies that had been there long before, taking them down but never turning into one himself. In fact much of his fighting was recreational, honing his skills with both his body and vision.Despite living in the Fortress surrounded by the "worst of society" Wriothesley engaged with everyone fairly. He addressed the person themselves rather than the crime, and made a name for himself after accumulating an extraordinary amount of coupons...until one day the previous administrator had emptied his entire account. At that point his reputation was solidified among the inmates, and nobody dared to stop him when he went to challenge the administrator.Except the man had vanished entirely, and with nobody to sign his papers for release, Wriothesley opted to instead claim the administrator's desk for himself.

He can use this power to freeze water and create ice anywhere he pleases within reason. His powers are limited to his area and he tends to feel a little chillier than the average person as a side effect. Wriothesley appreciates warmth.- Mechanical Gauntlets — Wriothesley wields a pair of powerful gauntlets he created himself, specifically adjusted to compliment his cryo abilities. They are somewhat heavy due to their build but practice has allowed him to wear them like normal gloves with little resistance.

VERSES

Post-Prophecy     Main Verse. Now that Fontaine has been spared, Wriothesley has returned to his duties in the Fortress of Meripode. Much of his time is spent checking the roster with the guards, making sure every inmate is accounted for. Their safety is of his upmost concern after all, even those who have wronged him before. He does still occasionally visit the topside world, though now he has a bit more free time to do so since the main threat has been averted.  Pre-Prophecy    Canon. He spends an abnormal amount of his time deliberating, watching the seal he has guarded since ascending to the position of Administrator. Wriothesley rarely leaves the Fortress, instead sending guards in his stead while he focuses on the problem quickly approaching.  House of Hearth    AU. Wriothesley never gets the chance to discover his foster parent's deception. Instead his aptitude for building is discovered at a young age, his talents helping sell him at a much younger age than normal. His information is passed off to several buyers, eventually landing in the hands of Crucabena. Intrigued by his potential, he is purchased and brought to the House to be trained as one of them. He is sent back to Snezhnaya rather than staying in Fontaine, raised in one of their local orphanages rather than the one in Fontaine. Only when he's an adult does he returned to Fontaine, adopting the surname of "Snezhevich" and placed in a position to watch the current state of affairs.  Verse Name    AU.     affiliated with @blogurl

MINATO NAMIKAZE

Minato Namikaze was born on January 25th to a pair of average chunin in an average-sized home. His family had no clan, their surname descended mostly from farmers and merchants. His parents were both first time ninjas in their respective families, with average levels of chakra and skill. Both of them joined the genin corps instead of being assigned a jonin sensei, eventually passing their chunin exams but stagnating there. Minato remembers them fondly. It was right before he was scheduled to join the academy that both of his parents were killed in the Second War, stationed at an outpost along the border. The war had already been raging for some time and it was getting close to the end, but unfortunately they were caught up in one of the last major skirmishes. Rejecting the idea of being sent to an orphanage, Minato instead chose to stay at his family home by himself, using the small fortune his parents had left to get by. He was by no means rich, but it was enough for a child to survive on. Minato was also eligible for money from the Konoha Orphan fund, so he was supported well enough.Minato focused on his education and training at the academy, surprisingly gifted at a young age despite coming from virtually nothing. He had no clan blood nor were his parents particularly remarkable so nothing as expected from him. It was eventually concluded that he was a natural prodigy along with being an exceptionally hard worker.During his time at the academy he also met Kushina, intrigued by her bright red hair. He was a bit shy at the same time too though, flustered when she yelled at him during their first time meeting. Despite that, he paid close attention to her during their academy days. Minato was polite of course and never intruded on her space, but she was constantly on his mind. One might even go as far as to say the small pranks and silly antics he occasionally for up to where to catch her attention.

Right after their graduation, Kushina was kidnapped by enemy ninjas due to her status. Not a single soul noticed her disappearance... except for the only boy who had consistently watched her over the years. Minato followed the strands of red hair she left behind as a trail, defeating the enemies and successfully freeing Kushina. Later on, they would finally go on their first date to Minato's delight. After the duo began officially dating, Minato was taught fuinjutsu by both Jiraya and Kushina to allow him to help aid her in the future. It was a skill he picked up and mastered quickly, though he will always attribute his progress to his two mentors. He developed both the Rasengan and Hirishin during the Third Shinobi war, eventually assigned a genin team at a young age due to his abilities. Originally he was in charge of just Kakashi due to both of their status's as natural prodigies. Obito and Rin were added to their group a year later, something Minato approved of due to Kakashi's isolationist tendencies.Unfortunately, both Rin and Obito would be considered dead by the end of the Third Shinobi war. Minato had at that point joined the Anbu, bringing Kakashi with him to try to help him manage the pain of loss. Minato would eventually step out from Anbu to become the Fourth Hokage, though he would still try to help Kakashi as much as he could. He tasked Kakashi with guarding Kushina while she was pregnant, trusting him with this secret unconditionally. On October 10th, Kushina would go on to give birth to Naruto while also losing her life due to interference. Minato would end up sealing part of Kyuubi within his infant son with the other half inside of him.

VERSES

Jinchūriki     Main Verse (AU). Minato is unable to save Kushina due to her body's weakness from Kyuubi's extraction coupled with the injuries she sustained. She restrains Kyuubi with all of her remaining strength so that Minato is able to complete the seals on both him and Naruto. Naruto was unable to take the entirety of Kyuubi's chakra, so Minato split the yin and yang halves between the both of them.Unlike Kushina and Naruto, Minato does not have special chakra that is suited for Kurama's. Due to that and the instability of the rushed seal he had placed on himself, Minato opts to resign as Yondaime in order to focus on improving the seal and his control over Yin Kurama. Though Yin Kurama lacks the rage of Yang, he's more cunning and thus formidable enough for Minato to be concerned. So, instead of leaving two unstable and untrained Jinchūriki in Konoha, he leaves entirely. He spends over a decade working on his control in solitude, eventually returning during the Fourth Shinobi War to assist the others in defeating Madara.  Jōnin    Canon. Flexible timeline that can be set either pre-naruto, pre-kannabi, pre-genin, or pre-kakashi team. Mostly follows canon but can be adjusted for anything.  Yondaime Hokage    Canon/AU. Flexible canon timeline post-kannabi. can either be canon pre-naruto or based off the main verse but pre-departure.  Verse Name    AU.     affiliated with @blogurl

Neji Hyūga

Neji Hyūga is a Jōnin from Konohagakure and considered a prodigy from a very young age. Despite his exemplary skills, he was born into the branch house as the nephew of Hiashi Hyūga and cousin to Hanabi and Hinata - the potential clan heirs. He was branded with the Hyūga family curse seal to both protect his kekkei genkai and the clan heir from any infighting. As as customary with his clan, he was branded on Hinata's third birthday when he was only four years old. Neji was not upset about the ideas a child, as he had known it was coming, but his father felt differently. Hizashi could see his innate talents and wanted more for his son, though he was careful not to voice it.During on session of Hinata's training, Neji and Hizashi watched on the sidelines. Hizashi could see the skill gap between Hinata and Neji and despite his efforts subconsciously manifested killing intent towards Hinata. Hiashi sensed this and activated the cursed seal, causing him immense and excruciating pain. The incident traumatized Neji, but his faith in their family was not shaken until a second incident.During a diplomatic visit from Kumogakure, their ambassador attempted to kidnap Hinata. Hiashi quickly intervened and killed the ninja responsible, only finding out about his identity after the fact. Kumogakure demanded Hiashi's life for the incident, threatening to reopen conflict between the two villages. Konohagakure did not want to return to war but was also against the idea of handing over the Byakugan to the enemy. Hizashi volunteered to take the place of his brother to ensure Kumogakure could not get their hands on the Byakugan and was killed in his brothers place.Neji was not informed about what happened, only knowing that he had lost his father to save someone from the main family. It was the incident that broke the camels back and fueled Neji's future resentment towards the main family. Unlike Hizashi, he kept his feelings hidden and opted to instead train to surpass the family heir in combat. Neji learned many different hidden techniques from the main branch as well as general Hyūga techniques, keeping this fact a secret from everyone else.

Neji graduates top of his class from the academy and is assigned to Team Guy along with Tenten and Rock Lee. His beliefs had caused him to determine that no person could escape their own fates set by birth, leading him to assume Rock Lee could never hope to surpass him in skill due to his condition. It had caused him to grow arrogant - acknowledging his own talents as a genius but also placing himself above everyone else. This belief did not cause him to think people incapable - he did believe his team was capable and strong on their own merits - but he saw himself as simply better than just about everyone else. Neji often opted to train by himself despite being a team, though he would work with them on missions and was mature enough to put objectives first. His fight with Hinata during the chunin exams was the first opportunity he got to demonstrate his superior skills over the main branch without any interference. Neji was ruthless and held no sympathy for the clan heiress nearly killing her during their fight. It was a moment he would later regret and he would come to an amicable peace with her. Neji still had a drive to surpass Hinata and one day change the fate of those in the branch house, but he no longer held any animosity towards her family. Instead he redirects his energy and feelings towards the structure itself, determined to make change. Though Naruto had also promised to help Neji felt it important that someone from inside the family contribute to this enormous task as well.During the Fourth Shinobi War, Neji is nearly killed while defending both Hinata and Naruto from the ten-tails attack. He's able to save them but is severely wounded as a result and forced to retreat from the battlefield.During the New Era, he is often away on missions and despite being a Jōnin is not currently training a genin team. Instead he often visits his former teammates and their genin, occasionally offering training to the new genin. Neji also spends a lot of time at the Hyūga compound visiting family and ensuring change. He speaks with Hanabi regularly due to her position as the clan heiress. He does still possess the seal but further developments have allowed him to visually hide it for the time being.

VERSES

Part 1     *Set in Part 1, Neji is a genin on Team Guy with a noticeable hatred for the Hyūga family traditions. He trains extensively in even the secret techniques of the main house forcing him to train alone in most cases. Though Neji does complete missions regularly with his team he has an ingrained belief that they are fated to be beneath his due to their birth status. Depending on what part of the timeline, his beliefs may be changed or still remain the same.  Part 2  Neji has been promoted to Jōnin over the years and often takes on many solo missions. He tends to be outside of the village more often than not, but does occasionally visit his teammates. As this timeline is rather big, different things may vary.  New Era  Neji is a Jōnin without a genin team still taking on missions outside of the village on his own. Though he does check in on his former teammates regularly and even occasionally offers training to their genin. A lot of his time when home is at the Hyūga residence dealing with the family themselves advocating for different changes with the support of the Hokage and even the clan heiress Hanabi.

Lucanis Dellamorte

9:18 - 9:20 DragonLucanis Dellamorte was born to Aldo and Rosalia Dellamorte, the first and only child of the duo. Rosalia Dellamorte was the eldest daughter of Caterina while Aldo was from a different House entirely. Though their union was for political reasons, their love was genuine. Lucanis was the first of their planned children, with at least two more expected.Three years later, House Velardo began their campaign against House Dellamorte in an attempt to force them to surrender the seat of First Talon. Attempting to keep their involvement a secret, House Velardo hired assassins from other Houses to track down and kill each child of Caterina. Following that, Caterina’s grandchildren were also slaughtered until only Lucanis and Illario remained. As the two youngest of the grandchildren, they were secured at the Dellamorte estate and protected from the would-be-assassins.House Velardo’s entire campaign lasted over two years, when Lucanis was five and Illario four. Although they had failed to wipe out Caterina’s entire line, House Velardo still demanded Caterina step down from her position due to a potential lack of heirs. Caterina remained strong in the wake of tragedy, instead investigating and discovering House Velardo’s involvement in the death of her family. She was ruthless in orchestrating their subsequent demise, ensuring they would never dare step out of line again under her watch. To this day House Velardo remains fractured following their failed attempt at succeeding House Dellamorte. He attended a private funeral alongside Illario and Caterina, orchestrated by the First Talon to mourn her slain children and grandchildren. The location and time was only known to them, even hidden from the servants that served House Dellamorte. It was then and there that he decided he would devote himself to the Crows, determined to help House Dellamorte recover.

9:20 - 9:38 DragonTheir private funeral was the last time Lucanis recalled Caterina openly displaying sadness, a moment of grief only shared between the three of them. The very next day, it was gone.Caterina became personally involved in the training of her grandchildren following House Velardo’s failed war of succession. She was ruthless despite their shared blood, hitting them with her cane when they made mistakes or depriving them of food and water. It was a regular enough occurrence that Lucanis never really forgot, growing to despite his grandmother for her harsh treatment. While he appreciates the effort she made to ensure their survival as Crows, at the time he was resentful. Enough so that while he did fear her, Lucanis was occasionally prone to acting out of line. While training consumed a majority of his time, occasionally Lucanis and Illario would sneak out into Treviso to find entertainment. Lucanis was surprisingly the orchestrator of many of their escapes, dragging Illario along with him as they explored the rooftops. He enjoyed the thrill of the adventure, racing Illario around until they eventually stumbled into messes. Returning to the estate covered in mud was not a rare occurrence for Lucanis, even when he was punished accordingly. Though Illario had often joined him in his excursions, Lucanis often tried to shoulder the blame entirely. Of course, they were both punished anyway.Outside of their little escapades, Lucanis also enjoyed spending time in the library, poring over the many books in their grand library. His favorite books were about both local and exotic fauna, wyverns catching his attention the most. Illario often teased him for how often Lucanis would prattle off about something he read about. Lucanis in turn sniped back at him about the amount of times Illario would nearly trip over his feet whenever someone pretty passed by them. Their relationship was one more akin to brothers than cousins and despite their endless teasing they trusted each other completely. They would have each other's backs.

Lucanis and Illario were both acknowledged as fully fledged crows in their pre-teens, younger than most but skilled enough to hold their own. Their earliest contracts were usually restricted to Antiva, local enough that they could gain experience without too many uncontrollable variables. As newly initiated Crows from a powerful House, they initially started out with any contracts rather than specializing in anything. Over the years they would eventually branch out, Illario taking on seduction-type missions while Lucanis was ordered to transition into a mage-killer.During his specialization training, it was discovered Lucanis was particularly sensitive to the veil itself. While it indicated his potential magical ability, he never displayed any prowess in the art beyond detecting changes in the veil. He focused on honing this skill, using it to quickly become the Crow’s deadliest mage killer. It also had the side effect of helping him gain Caterina’s favor in regards to succession, though he was not interested in the slightest.Still, the rumors spread, eventually fracturing his relationship with Illario ever so slightly.9:38 Dragon - 9:51 DragonLucanis and Illario take fewer contracts together, but occasionally they find themselves chasing the same foe. In this case, the duo take a contract against the notorious wigmaker and Venatori Ambrose Forfex. Their contract takes them to Vyrantium where Ambrose is holding a party and displaying his wigs to attendees. While their contract was originally to just kill the man and leave, Lucanis decides Ambrose deserves far worse than a quick and easy death. After discover and subsequently freeing the elven slaves being tortured to make the wigs, Lucanis has Illario escort them out while he deals with Ambrose. Once he destroys an artifact Ambrose had, demons suddenly descend upon the party, the models transforming into abominations and attacking the partygoers. In the chaos, Lucanis kills demons and eventually Ambrose after the man succumbs to demons as well.Unfortunately, Zara Renata was alerted to the demise of her colleague, taking a personal interest in Lucanis going forward. She decides to begin looking into him more, determined to make him pay for killing Ambrose.

9:51 - 9:53 DragonOn his way to another job, Lucanis is ambushed by Venatori after being betrayed by Illario. He is taken to the Ossuary, an underwater Venatori prison, but presumed dead by everyone but Caterina Dellamorte. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have enough information to place a location for him, keeping her knowledge to herself for the time being while waiting for the right time to strike.During this time, Lucanis is tortured alongside other prisoners in the Ossuary. He does not falter, his determination to live so strong that it attracts a Spirit of Determination to his side. The spirit is subsequently trapped in the Ossuary as well for a time, alongside other spirits drawn in by the overwhelming emotions experienced by the other prisoners trapped. In a fit of humor, Zara decides to include Lucanis in her experiments, feeding him a mysterious object to summon a demon into his body. Though overwhelmed by pain from the experiment, he is able to pick up some information from Zara, the Venatori alluding to a cult in Orlais that served as her inspiration.Zara is not able to control which demon is pulled into his body, the nearest Spirit the unfortunate victim drawn in by the ritual. Determination is stripped from the fade against his will, transforming into Spite as a consequence. Initially he is enraged by their circumstances, lashing out angrily at everything - including Lucanis. He attacks him occasionally, inflicting wounds upon him that eventually heal but scar over time.At one point, Lucanis finally manages to reason with Spite by appealing to his nature, promising to free them on the condition that Spite does not take his body. Spite readily agrees, but alters the deal just a bit - he promises to not take his body when he is awake only. Lucanis agrees to the conditions and the duo begin an uneasy partnership for the time being, only seen as a failure to those on the outside when a demon doesn’t come bursting from his form. Lucanis is eventually moved into a special room, chained and frozen due to the uncertainty of his condition. It’s not ideal for either of them, but it at least protects Lucanis’s physical form for the time being.Lucanis is freed from the icey prison upon the arrival of Rook in the Ossuary, killing his captors and then joining the Veilguard under a contract. His only conditions are to finish his current contract and to allow him to track down and kill Zara - a condition of his contract with Spite.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY   Lucanis is, first and foremost, a coffee-addicted workaholic who devotes himself to completing contracts regularly. He is thorough with his jobs, going over dossiers about his targets and their locations, ensuring his services are rendered as quickly as possibly. Whenever he finishes a contract there's very little downtime until he's back out in the field again. However, Lucanis does have a personal moral code that he isn't willing to break. On several occasions he has given himself additional workload in order to do what he feels is right. He has even dropped contracts entirely that take it too far, despite the irony of it all. His specialty is mage killing, but it was not decided for him.Outside of Crow relate things, he's a bit more on the reserved side and isn't fond of the spotlight. Lucanis is happier with a small group of friends he's able to make deeper connections with as opposed to many acquaintances. It lets him be more attentive to individuals he cares about in many ways.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - Attentive

- Generous
  NEGATIVE TRAITS   - Workaholic
- Ambitionless

TEMPERAMENT   Reserved with strangers, playful with friends and family.

OTHER

POWERS / ABILITIES   Assassin - Lucanis is trained in the art of killing, capable of slaying his opponents before they even acknowledge his presence. He moves quickly and quietly planning every move in order to take out his contracts in as few hits as possible. He knows all of the weak points on a body from every race and can pinpoint them with ease. He's especially skilled at slaying mages.Poison - Lucanis makes his own poisons and has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge on the subject. He has many different recipes as well as their antidotes depending on his needs and can tailor his poison's to different races. He's also skilled in herbology and botany as a result.Spite - As a result of his possession, Lucanis has access to a vast amount of demonic power to aid him. He can manifest wings on his back and manipulate demonic energy into his blades and through his body as needed. He's also able to see in the dark or illuminate a small area due to his eye glowing. His ability to use the power is solely based on Spite's discretion however and the demon can be temperamental.Veil Sensitivity - Lucanis, despite not being a trained mage, is sensitive to the veil. He can sense when the veil is thinner and even when the veil shifts due to magic.

VERSES

Treviso Saved     Main 1 Follows canon events in Veilguard, this verse is specifically for an unhardened Lucanis. It may also apply to a pre-decision scenario as well.Lucanis is still grappling with the idea of living as an abomination, a problem he cannot solve with his daggers. Spite is a pest and annoying - but Lucanis begrudgingly tries to work with him anyways. He trusts Rook regardless of faction, though a little more with Crow Rooks.  Hardened     Main 2 In this verse, Treviso is blighted and Caterina was killed. Lucanis is forced to harden his resolve in order to deal with the mess in Treviso as well as the world. He refuses to entertain most of Spite's whims and uses his power at his own discretion instead. Lucanis will not be convinced to work with Spite under any circumstances beyond battle. In this verse, Lucanis does not trust Rook and is mostly there due to contractual obligations. He will not let them die because the world needs them, but he is no longer willing to be open.I do not write Rook ships with a hardened Lucanis.  Act 3

Taash

9:29 Dragon - 9:45 DragonTaash was born in Par Vollen, the Qunari homeland north of Rivain. Originally born into the Qun, Shathann is the only family member they know of. Under the Qun, family units do not exist and all births are controlled. Shathann conceiving with Taash’s “Father” was arranged, their role ending once Taash was born. There was no expectation of change and Shathann had intended to return to their scholar role until Taash was discovered to be an Adaari. For the first time, Shathann felt fear and uncertainty knowing their child was destined to be conscripted into the Antaam. In order to spare Taash from possible death in the future, Shathann arranged for a transfer to Kont-aar in Rivain to serve as a priest. Kont-aar is a port city in the Northern part of Rivain, the only peaceful Qunari settlement there. Once the arrangements were made, Shathann smuggled an infant Taash to Kont-aar and then left as soon as they arrived. They booked passage towards Western Rivain, eventually making contact with the Lords of Fortune where Shathann would offer their services as a Scholar. As a result of Shathaan’s efforts, Taash was raised outside of the Qun to a degree. Shathann never fully left the Qun, just Par Vollen, so they instilled many Qun beliefs onto Taash. Taash was taught Qunlat as well as many cultural rituals like dar-saam. Without the cultural impact from being surrounded by the Qun, Taash would often struggle with fully understanding the meaning behind it all. All they really saw was them struggling and Shathann criticizing them, resulting in Taash feeling like a misfit in their home. Despite this, they did put effort into learning and eventually perfecting their technique to a degree.Taash also struggled with Shathaan’s lack of warmth one would expect from a parent. Shathaan was raised to be critical and logical - Taash was surrounded by a culture that expected differently from parents. They saw how other children interacted with their families and desired it too, but Shathaan could not offer it. It frustrated Taash for many reasons, as they both wanted it but felt ashamed that they did.

This growing frustration did not mix well with the natural anger they felt from their Adaari blood, resulting in Taash often lashing out at others. Attempting to curb their own near-uncontrollable anger, Taash opted to limit how much they spoke in order to reduce any chances of conflict. It resulted in them not getting along well with other children, leading them to mostly play on their own.Outside of their home, Taash could often be found running around on the coast digging for ‘treasures’ buried in the sand. They were fond of shells and bones, occasionally taking the rare crab back as well for Shathaan to cook with. The best part of their explorations were the dragons that flew overhead, resulting in Taash developing a special interest in them. Shathaan managed to acquire several books for Taash on the subject after noticing their interest. Taash would take their books outside with them on their little adventures, determined to figure out what kind of dragons were flying around. It did, however, cause another conflict - getting Taash back inside at a reasonable hour. Shathaan resorted to telling them many fantastical tales about the Antivan Crows to convince her child to return home. For example, they informed them that Crows couldn’t kill people that were asleep and that was why they needed to be in bed on time and asleep. The Crows became an unexpected part of Taash’s childhood, the reason why Taash couldn’t get new clothes or eat at the fancy restaurants. What Shathaan didn’t expect, however, was that Taash would find them just as cool as dragons. They stopped telling them stories after finding Taash on their roof one day, wielding two of their knives with the tablecloth wrapped around their neck. Though the stories stopped, Taash’s fascination with the Crows never ceased. As the years passed, Taash learned from both Shathann and the people of Rivain. Their fire strengthened over time but their control waned - many things were scorched due to outbursts of high emotion. Taash endeavored to work on control while still trying to hide it.

9:46 - 9:52 DragonAt the age of 16, Taash officially joins the Lords of Fortune after proving their strength to both the Lords and their mother. All of their initial jobs are small-scale treasure hunts, nothing too dangerous but challenging enough to slowly ease them into it. After Taash’s first job, they buy a fancy dress to replace the one Shathann had worn for years to the point that it was barely holding together. They were proud to finally be able to contribute to the household, fully aware by this point that they had lived in poverty. Unfortunately Shathann only criticizes the decision, stating the money should have been used to by them new boots instead.Frustrated with Shathann by this point, Taash opts to spend more time with the Lords of Fortune rather than lingering at home. The constant criticism and lack of praise had worn down Taash’s patience over time, but they didn’t want to be angry at their Mother. So they opted to create some distance, still visiting and sending coin back occasionally. Time away gave them a new perspective on life and they slowly grew just a bit more confident in themselves and their ability.Life with the Lords was vastly different for Taash, as their home life had been more controlled and rigid. Instead of that, they found chaos and warmth with the Crew, something that grew on Taash quickly. They enjoyed the drinking games and utter lack of self-respect at times, even if they didn’t partake in alcohol until a few years later. Taash’s control over their fire actually grew quicker than it did at home, possibly due to the potential of blowing up a bar if they weren’t too careful. Regardless, Taash felt more at home surrounded by their fellow Rivainis than they had with Shathann.

Taash began experimenting more with themselves and their love life in between jobs, hooking up with different kinds of people for fun. It let them explore their sexuality in a comfortable environment, though they also discovered their fire was a little too reactive occasionally. Thankfully the girl whose hair they lit on fire was more amused than anything else. During this time they discovered the concept of trans and nonbinary but was not entirely sure what that meant to them at the time. All they knew was that as time passed, they found themselves not quite feeling right when addressed as ‘she’.As the years passed Taash established themselves as a reputable treasure hunter and experienced dragon hunter, though killing dragons was always a last resort for them. Their jobs became tougher but the pay increased as well - much of which they sent back to Shathann despite her protests. A lot of their jobs started focusing on the local dragons, both in fighting them and stealing from their hoards. While Taash does enjoy fighting dragons, having to kill one isn’t an entirely happy affair for them. They have come to terms with it though, accepting that it is a necessary evil.During one of their jobs, Taash is arrested by the Qunari after being betrayed by their fellow Lord of Fortune Declan. They’re taken to a Qunari prison to answer for their crimes against the Qun, only to be freed by their friend Nadia Carcosa. Of course, a Gamordan Stormrider attacks the prison where they were held, Taash immediately running off to handle it. Taash’s freedom is secured by Nadia when she saves a Qunari child from being killed and bargains for the death of the dragon in exchange. Taash takes charge of the Qunari for a brief moment, helping them bring down the dragon before it can cause any more harm. Taash sails back to Rivain afterwards, spreading the word about the betrayal of Declan.

9:53 DragonTaash is considered an expert in their field despite their young age, having felled many dragons and secured treasure from all over Rivain. They own a home in Rivain near their mothers, who they visit semi-frequently in order to reassure her. At this point in time they had been questioning themself for a long time but the lacked the right person to confide in. Even other members of the Lords they felt cautious about, especially after Declan's betrayal. With the Antaam loose in Rivain, Taash has been forced to hide their fire completely in order to avoid detection. Instead of venturing off on longer jobs they stick close to home, building trust with a local dragon and keeping an eye on the Antaam that have slowly began claiming the coastline.Notes✦ Though part of Taash's journey is discovering their identity, which they don't do until later, I will always use they/them pronouns in all of my writing. Please do the same as well!✦ Shathann is a big part of their character and their own personal journey. Their relationship is incredibly complex and not simply watered down to 'Taash hates their mother' because they don't. I also take into consideration the different cultures at play here - Qunari and Rivaini - as well as have my own personal experience with an emotionally unavailable parent that criticizes every little thing.✦ Is Shathann in the wrong? Yes of course! Even if you push Taash towards Qunari culture instead Shathann still complains about it. Shathann's inability to both properly communicate and find middle ground with Taash in a way they can understand is the main issue between them. Taash has made many attempts to try to understand their mother as well as show love for them, only to be rebuked. However they also acknowledge their mother still follows the Qun and knows they were not raised to be a Tamassran. Taash does understand the basics of Qun - just not the deeper meaning behind things.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY  Taash is a very blunt, straight to the point kind of person who prefers conveying their thoughts and opinions directly. They don't try to sugarcoat anything and will just say outright what they mean rather than trying to cater to other people's feelings. Taash is capable of being self-reflective though - they can apologize and acknowledge their mistakes as needed.Much of their bluntness comes from their own experience dealing with someone who never seems to clarify the meaning behind their words. Shathann criticizes them consistently if they're not perfect, resulting in a level of insecurity that affects how Taash chooses to deal with people. They would rather just state what's on their mind and deal with the fallout later than cause someone to feel confused by their words. They are also very honest though, refusing to pretend to like something or someone. The less they talk to you, the more likely it is they don't like you. Once they grow to trust someone though, Taash is more likely to engage in active conversation. They'll even share their hobbies with you but be wary - once they start, they often don't stop until every single thought is out of their mind.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - Determined

OTHER

POWERS / ABILITIES   Adaari - Adaari are a rare type of Qunari that are capable of breathing fire. This trait is genetic and comes from their draconic ancestry. Only a few are born every generation. Years of training has allowed Taash to mastery their fire, turning it into a formidable weapon. They also have a heightened sense of smell due to their draconic heritage.Warrior- Taash is a warrior, skilled in close combat situations. They're specifically skilled with two-handed weapons and prefer to use axes above all else.Dragon Hunter - Taash is a dragon hunter who has studied dragons for several years. They know how to track, bait, and even kill them if necessary. They are also surprisingly good at instructing others in how to handle dragons.

Andarateia Cantori

9:14 dragon - 9:27 dragonAndarateia is the sole child of Gisella and Catullo, a pair of nameless elves that lived on the streets of Treviso. They had no wealth to their name, getting by through various little jobs here and there to scrap together some coin. Andarateia would go a few days without food here and there until she was older and could fend for herself, often visiting the markets to pilfer food from the merchants. She was fast and clever, easily about to outwit the poor merchants trying to make a living. However, she never took more than needed and avoided stealing coin entirely, opting instead to just bring back food for her family. Her efforts were never really appreciated, but she wanted to help. When she was five years old, Catullo walked out on her and Gisella. He simply took what little coin they had and vanished into the night, causing Gisella to fall into a fit of despair. In her distress she decided to follow after him, leaving Andarateia all by herself. Gisella never returned either and Andarateia was forced to vacate their small home, moving to the streets. Luckily for her it wasn’t a difficult transition, her parents never really paying her much attention anyways. The only trouble was finding a warm place to sleep in the cold but she managed to make due. Andarateia scraped up enough coin to buy a blanket, using it as a cloak from there on out while she simply fought to survive.

At the age of six, Andarateia made the ‘mistake’ of successfully stealing from an Antivan Crow. All of the street children knew and admired the Crows, but she had never come across one herself. So she didn’t know what to look out for until her wrist was held in a tight grip, the Crow she had stolen from angrily staring down at her. Instead of making an example out of her, however, he offered her a deal. Andarateia had shown herself fairly capable for someone so young, so the Crow was willing to extend an invitation to the Antivan Crows. Of course she would have to pass all of their trials, some of which led to death, but he saw her potential. Andarateia agreed without hesitation. Her trials were hard and punishing, the threat of death very real among the new recruits. She was trained with several other children from all across Treviso, each one desperate to pass and more than willing to sacrifice the other to do so. Andarateia was also willing to do so, but did feel a bit of regret for any recruit that fell at her hands. She excelled with daggers and blades, proving herself to be a formidable recruit and eventually becoming a fully fledged Crow at the age of thirteen.

9: 27 - 9:42After successfully completing her Crow trials, Andarateia joined House Cantori. It was there she decided to change her name slightly, going by Teia Cantori after swearing her blood oath to the House. House Cantori was a Cuchillo when she first joined, a lesser House that was subservient to stronger Houses. Cantori in question often worked with House Dellamorte due to proximity as well as House De Riva occasionally. Though their House was not strong by any means, they considered each other family despite their lack of blood ties.House Cantori was filled with orphans and those of lesser standing, supporting each other to fund their House. Teia grew comfortable quickly with her newfound family, finding genuine support for the first time. She was affectionate and kind with those of House Cantori, putting their needs first as she took various contracts to begin amassing coin for both herself and the House. As a member bearing their name, Cantori Crows were required to give a part of their earnings back to the House. Teia was more than happy to do that.As she grew older and stronger, it was apparent Teia was a rare talent among the Crows, let alone House Cantori. Her skills with daggers and blades were unmatched as well as her looks, causing her to be very desirable. Teia attracted the attention of more lucrative contracts, many which began to request her seduction skills rather than outright assassinations. She grew very comfortable with affection and intimacy to the point where she earned a reputation among the Crows. Teia was beautiful and kind but left a trail of lovers in her footsteps, though many were casual. It was a reputation that put off a few people but Teia didn’t mind - she used her natural beauty for her contracts often. Anyone put off by that would simply have to accept that she was not the woman for them and that was okay.

It was during this time she first met Viago de Riva, a fellow Antivan Crow she found incredibly attractive. He was beautiful but paranoid and Teia enjoyed spending time with him whenever he happened to be in the area. She also took a few contracts with him as well even when he became a Talon before she did. Their partnership worked well and their skills suited them, though they continuously danced around their feelings for each other. Teia would playfully tease him and he would rebuke her, only to find himself watching her as she left. Since he did not seem interested, Teia still took on other partners, further escalating the tension between them.By the age of 28, Teia Cantori had already become the guildmaster of House Cantori, succeeding the previous one after they were killed in a contract. She was popular in House Cantori due to her beauty and personality, practically suited for fame. Teia was also incredibly ambitious, fighting for the Seventh Talon seat after the previous House occupying it fell. To everyone's surprise, Teia managed to secure the Seventh Talon seat for House Cantori. Without any connections and wealth, it should have been impossible for Teia. It was such a surprise that it created a lot of drama among the Crows for a little bit, accusations flying all over about how someone with nothing to offer could stand in their leadership. Caterina, the First Talon, shut down any complaints swiftly.

9:42 - 9:52Though Teia was confident in herself and her own abilities, she did still try to reach out to the other Talon Houses to establish a friendly relationship with them. She was subsequently rebuked by most of them besides Dellamorte and De Riva, her lack of wealth and connections making her seem inferior to them. It stung a little at the time but Teia only resolved to build House Cantori’s reputation, taking several lucrative contracts to begin filling their coffer. Due to her new status as a Talon, her time was worth more and House Cantori became incredibly wealthy quickly. She invested the new funds in not only the House but businesses outside, expanding their control and ensuring House Cantori’s future. She took a lot of advice from Caterina Dellamorte during her first years as a Talon, admiring her strength even at her age. Teia and Caterina’s relationship grew strong as a result to the point where she began viewing the elder woman almost like a mother to her. Caterina saw ambition and determination in the younger Crow, even allowing her to call her ‘Nonna’ at times. Teia was rebuked whenever she did of course, but it was playful and the fondness from Caterina was undeniable. This support helped motivate Teia to continue building up House Cantori, eventually leading her to have a somewhat okay reputation among the other Talons.A few years later, Teia began dating Dante Balazar, the Second Talon at the time. He was incredibly attractive and strong, something Teia admired. Not only that, but he was completely infatuated with her, their relationship blossoming quickly. She began to take on a few contracts with him similar to how she would go out with Viago, developing their relationship and eventually joining House Cantori and House Balazar for a time. For the first time, Teia actually could see a future with another man, eager to continue building their relationship up further. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst.

Dante took a contract that brought him towards templars, forcing him to blend in with them until he found his mark. It also caused him to take lyrium as well to see the disguise, causing the man to become addicted like many other templars. Dante was able to kill his target and complete the contract but the addiction completely destroyed him, his withdrawals causing his body to shake and his mind to struggle to think properly. Teia vowed to stay by his side regardless, trying to help Dante work with his addiction. She tried to help him ease off it slowly, but Dante would repeatedly try to go cold turkey. It was a stressful time for both. All of it came to head when she discovered that he had begun drinking to try to stave off the withdrawal symptoms, causing an argument to occur between the two of them. Between lyrium withdrawal and his inebriated state, Dante became angrier and dangerous. Unable to defend himself and becoming frustrated as a result, Dante lashed out at Teia with the bottle he had been drinking from. Teia is hit in the wrist by the bottle but quickly disarms him, stabbing him in the shoulder in response. It was then she had realized she couldn’t stand by his side anymore, unwilling to become a woman who chased broken men like her mother. Teia left him right then and there, ignoring his drunken apologies once he’d realized what he’d done.

Antoine

9:23 Dragon - 9:41 DragonAntoine is the only child born to a pair of unknown elves in an orlesian alienage, left behind after only a few months when illness claimed their lives. A sickness had broken out throughout the city, originating initially from the elven alienage. In order to prevent further spread, the elves were barred from leaving, forced to endure the onslaught of plague until it eventually passed. Many lives were claimed in the process but Antoine was fortunate enough to survive, albeit without his parents. He was taken to the alienage’s orphanage, raised alongside the other children who had also lost their parents to the illness.Life in an alienage was not a pleasant experience as the elves inside were often forced to endure all kinds of hardships. They were deprived of certain luxuries only afforded to the humans outside and often locked away in the event of riots or other misfortune. It was less clean than the rest of the city due to neglect, the elves forced to manage themselves the best they could. In the center stood a grand oak tree, the area around it completely cleared, a revered section of the alienage. It was known as the Vhenadahl, or “tree of the People” and was considered sacred to the city elves. Antoine spent a lot of time by the tree in his youth, staring at the different decorations adorning its limbs.A lot of his early childhood was spent helping around the alienage with little chores here and there, enjoying the community aspect despite the harsh conditions. The small elf found enjoyment from bringing smiles to others faces and assisting the best he could. Even when he had little to offer himself. It filled the loneliness he often experienced in the middle of the night, surrounded by other sleeping children and a leaking roof. What he lacked in intimate companionship he made up for in something greater than himself.

When he wasn’t helping out he spent much of his time fiddling with a slingshot and tools, crafting toys out of the wood that fell from nearby trees. Since they had little to themselves he was forced to make his own toys, a task he found quite enjoyable. Antoine escalated it from there, moving on from whittling branches to creating more mechanical creations. Everything was small and put together of tossed parts, but some of them worked. A lot of the toys he managed to fix up were given to the other children, though he kept a few for himself. As he grew older, Antoine was able to not only land a steady job but also carve out a little home for himself in the alienage. It was an older little hut, complete with holes and pieces of cloth covering the windows. There was a single room with a little mat he could sleep on and a fire pit in the center - the most rudimentary of homes available. Antoine loved it anyways though, filling the room up with little inventions and notes he made as he pursued his own hobbies. A few books as well as he earned more coin, spending it all on fables and stories rather than saving. He enjoyed his life for what it was and never sought more.Until he was eighteen, offered a job by a passing noble out in the countryside of Orlais. It was a temporary summer gig, something that paid more but required him to live out there for a little. The elf accepted it eagerly, fascinated by the prospect of experiencing something different. He left his home to be used by some of the homeless, trusting them to care for it in his stead while he left for his temporary job.

9:41 Dragon - 9:48 DragonAfter several years of visiting the countryside, Antoine had managed to land himself a more permanent position rather than just temporary. It was still only a summer job of course, but he was enlisted each time, the noble pleased with his work ethic. He was eager to please and dutiful with his work, always aiming for perfection even when it wasn’t asked. Though he had earned himself a bit of a reputation for being eccentric, often using his own quarters to test out different inventions and mixtures. He had started a fire or two on a few occasions but was quick to put it out, smoke eventually a norm coming from his room. One evening, the estate was beset upon by darkspawn, their howls echoing through the night. It was pure pandemonium, the servants and nobles scattering in a panic as the creatures descended on them quickly. A few servants had become trapped inside the kitchen, screaming as a small horde broke its way through the door. Antoine, in a fit of impulse, shouted at the darkspawn to draw their attention towards himself. It worked, causing the horde to pursue him relentlessly through the halls. He drew them outside, attempting to use his environment to his advantage to trap them. Unfortunately one managed to slip through his makeshift trap of lumber, sinking its teeth into his arm before he could escape. He managed to use a small knife on hand to kill it, but it was too late. He was blighted. The illness settled in rapidly, his conditioning deteriorating until he was hardly coherent. He was ravaged by fever and nausea, the taint spreading through his veins rapidly. It became harder to breathe, but he endeavored either way, struggling against the plight he found himself in. Luckily, at the very edge of death, he found himself staring into the eyes of a Warden, a woman who captivated the last shreds of his mind in an instance. In an effort to save him he was taken with the Wardens back to their nearby camp, undertaking the Joining with the help of a few other Wardens. He couldn’t stand himself, limbs trembling as he was held up. Despite his condition, he survived.

It took a few days, but Antoine’s health improved dramatically alongside his mood, the elf rather enamored with the prospect of being a ‘hero’. Though he was short and lithe he took to training eagerly, forcing himself to endure the rigorous trials set before him. He discovered he was rather proficient with a bow - to his utter delight - and his training was refocused there. Antoine did not get to train for too long before Evka was tasked with taking him to an output, the duo setting off on their trek with horses. Though, they would eventually be redirected towards Weisshaupt instead.Unfortunately, they came across the village of Eichweill, ravaged by an unknown monster that stole people from their homes. Antoine, eager to help, sought to discover the source of their plight. It turned out to be werewolves, a Hunger demon transforming a man named Renke into an insatiable beast. With the help of Evka and the villagers, the duo were able to defeat the werewolves. However, Antoine was bit in the process, a curse forced into his body that lay dormant due to the demon being banished. It affected him deeply regardless though, altering his senses and causing him to be far more sensitive to the blight than normal. After that incident, they eventually managed to return to Weisshaupt, Antoine reassigned to a different group of Wardens temporarily. Unfortunately, his reckless behavior was difficult for others to manage, the elf eventually returned to Evka's side.Evka and Antoine traveled throughout Thedas together, following different leads on top of assignments they were given. Antoine found himself drawn to every little problem, a strong desire to save as many people as he could. He risked himself plenty of times, much to Evka's chagrin, but their bond grew and grew with every day. The first time he asked her to marry him she declined, but he was relentless, turning it into a daily game. Eventually it ended when she turned the tables - Evka asked him to ask her again before he could. He did so without hesitation, cementing their love with a kiss.

9:48 Dragon - 9:52Antoine remained by Evka’s side permanently following their union, even as she was promoted to High Constable and he remained an average Warden. Due to his sensitivity and craft, he was afforded a little more leeway to pursue his own interests, eventually studying the blight by accident. He was an alchemist first, inventing different chemical concoctions with various explosive and corrosive effects. However, the ability to hear and sense the blight in the way that he did allowed him to study it better, the elf often taking notes during their travels. He donated every single writing of his to the Wardens, wanting all of the knowledge to be accessible.During one of their visits to Weisshaupt in the middle of their travels, Antoine was met by the Hero of Ferelden, the elusive hero seeking a cure for the blight. His studies and knowledge were known - though the elf could not offer much help regrettably. Antoine was able to craft a few potions in secret in hopes that it might offer the Senior Warden more time, though he chose not to share this information publicly. Despite his optimistic nature, he did not wish to create hope where it might not be found, especially with untested vials he would never see the results of. The HoF vanished shortly after and Antoine has not heard from them again. After the events of Veilguard, he and Evka were assigned to a remote outpost as a punishment for assisting a reckless Warden in their venture. Antoine didn’t regret the decision as it had saved many lives, but it did separate him from his studies for a while. Eventually they discover they are guarding the last known griffons in Thedas and he makes several notes to assist them in the future. They transfer to Lavandel briefly to fight back against the blight in the Hossberg Wetlands.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY   Antoine has always been a bit on the brighter side, looking for whatever light he can seek out in the darkness. He hopes for a better future for everyone, and a longer one for him and Evka. If there is one elf that can seek out the positive in something it's Antoine. And, if the situation allows for it, there is no Warden softer than he is.He cares deeply for those around him and is willing to risk his own health to save everyone. Though he knows its not feasible, he still tries anyways. Even as the world beats him down and punishes him for dreaming. Antoine is unwilling to put himself first a majority of the time, preferring to act as a 'shield' despite his small stature.Though he is not without fear. He is deeply afraid of demons due to trauma involving a werewolf. It scares him to think his mind can become unraveled so easily, his thoughts and anxieties ripped open to the world. It's unnerving for him.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - Determined

  NEGATIVE TRAITS   - Naive

Some of his skill comes from his days as a child where he would play with a makeshift bow to pass the time.Alchemy - Antoine has some alchemical skills and is often creating different concoctions for their needs. VERSES

Pre-Veilguard    Antoine is a Grey Warden recruited after nearly falling victim to the blight. He is optimistic and curious, endeavoring to discover every little secret hidden in the cracks of the world. He is nearly always traveling with Evka save for a few rare instances. When he's not? He's missing Evka.He spends some time at Weisshaupt in between their travels, donating the writings he had amassed over their travels. Antoine tests a few concoctions in his free time - explosives & corrosives - as well as studies the history of the Wardens. Sometimes he even joins the Wardens when they throw small parties - provided there is wine of course.  Veilguard  Antoine travels with Evka exclusively between Weisshaupt, Lavandel, or a few other parts of Northern Thedas. He is currently assisting Rook with the blight, listening to the tunes that claw through his mind. He is an expert on the blight - though by accident - and will do whatever he can to save as many people as possible.  AU: Werewolf  The demon had not been defeated, only banished. When it manages to claw its way back to Thedas, the transformation is triggered. Optionally during Veilguard or post-Veilguard : if post Veilguard, he is afflicted by illness during the events of Veilguard.

Fenris

PRE-KIRKWALL

In his youth, he was known as Leto. As an elf born into slavery, he had no rights and served under a Tevinter Magister named Danarius. Danarius was a cruel master who treated his slaves like nothing more than property, resulting in a very harsh upbringing for Leto and his sister. Their Mother cared for them to the best of her abilities but as a slave herself they had little. Leto hated Danarius and mages by extension, but when the opportunity came to free his family he took it.Danaris offered a chance to become his bodyguard along with a boon as a reward to all of the slaves he owned. Many of them competed for the prize, but eventually Leto was chosen as the winner. Years of labor had allowed Leto to build up some bulk, but when it came down to it his determination and ferocity is what won him the main prize. In exchange, Leto requested that his mother and sister be freed from slavery. Danaris granted his request and allowed the two elves to walk free.Over the years Danaris had been experimenting with magic and lyrium, eventually coming to possess an old treatise that described a unique procedure. It would allow one to bind lyrium into markings etched into a person’s skin, though the details were vague. Due to this, it took the magister many years before he could come to the point of using a living subject for his experiments. Eventually, he decided to use it on a slave chosen to be his bodyguard - Leto.Leto was placed in the ritual sarcophagus for the experiment, inscribing lyrium-infused markings into his skin. It was an incredibly painful procedure though, and to the surprise of Danaris he found that Leto had lost all of his memories as a result. In exchange, he gained the ability to phase through solid objects. Though unexpected, the loss of Leto’s memories did not bother the magister and he renamed him Fenris - his “little wolf”.

Fenris would serve as Danaris’s faithful bodyguard for some time, becoming more familiar with his newfound abilities over time. He also discovered that the markings were incredibly sensitive, often uncomfortable when touched. As a result, he grew to dislike physical contact with others, even if he knew them. The pain isn’t overbearing though - he can tolerate it when he wants to. Growing to become more standoffish over time, his frustrations would eventually lead to him attempting to escape Danaris. His first attempt at escape would lead him into an encounter with a group known as the Fog Warriors - freedom fighters from Seheron that wished to separate from both the Qunari and Imperium. Fenris spent several months with the group, learning about the Qun and growing to appreciate it to an extent. He admired their strength and freedom, feeling as though he was a part of something great for the first time in a long while. When Danaris eventually came to collect him, the Fog Warriors defended Fenris. After being injured, Danaris demanded Fenris kill them all and the elf complied. It is something he regrets to this day and eventually led to him fleeing from Danaris once again, taking advantage of the Magister’s weakened state.Fenris would use his newfound freedom not to simply escape but to take revenge on his former master for his treatment. He would slaughter all of Danaris’s heirs while dodging the magister’s attempts to recapture him. This went on for years, the elf stopping in a city every so often, only to eventually be betrayed by those around him. Hunters stalked his every move in an attempt to drag Fenris back to Danaris, only to be thwarted by Fenris each time. He had hoped to maybe blend in with the other free elves, but his markings made it impossible. Too many people were also just as willing to sell him out as well, Danaris offering an incredible amount of gold for his capture.

KIRKWALL

Act I ( 9:31 Dragon)Eventually this would all lead him to Kirkwall, using Anso to hire a group of mercenaries to lead the hunters chasing him into a trap. Unbeknownst to him, these mercenaries would end up being Hawke and their group. Fenris offers the gold originally promised for the initial request for a different one - to help him clear the mansion of Danaris and his hunters. Unfortunately only Danaris’s hunters would be there, Fenris allowing Hawke and their group to claim the spoils. Fenris opts to join the group for a time, staying in Danaris’s mansion on the off chance the Magister eventually returns. He also accompanies Hawke as needed, openly distrustful if not hostile towards mages. Fenris is able to grow to respect some, like Bethany or a Mage Hawke, but otherwise he will at best tolerate them. Of all the companions, Fenris does not like Merril or Anders due to their mage status among other things. Everyone else he grows to be somewhat fond of for various reasons.Act II (9:34 Dragon)After years with the group, when Fenris travels outside of Kirkwall with Hawke their group is attacked by Tevinter slavers attempting to capture Fenris. Once they defeat them, they learn one of Danaris’s apprentices - Hadriana - is near. After locating their hideout, they free a slave by the name of Orana before confronting Hadriana. Fenris kills her regardless of Hawke’s opinion on the matter, but not before she reveals key information about his past - that he has a sister. Unfortunately, the knowledge of his sister was limited and did not allow him to track her down at the time.
Fenris would eventually reveal his extensive knowledge of the Qun, using what he knows to not only impress the Arishok but to arrange a duel between him and Hawke. As impressive as his familiarity with the Qun is, Fenris is not a follower of it.

Act III ( 9:37 Dragon )Years later, Fenris is finally able to discover the whereabouts of his sister and arrange a meeting. They meet up with Varania only to discover it's a trap - Danaris himself appears. Hawke chooses to defend Fenris against the magster, leading to his death. Fenris lashes out at Varania and attempts to kill her, only to be convinced to back down by Hawke. He reluctantly allows her to live despite her betrayal but hardly considers them family at this point. Fenris also learns of his real name during their encounter, but chooses to continue on as Fenris. After Anders blows up the chantry, Fenris advocates for his death but always chooses to join Hawke regardless of what side he takes. Despite his decision to support Hawke, he will never advocate for the mages and will continue to see them as dangerous. By this point in time, Fenris has opted to follow the Chantry after guidance from Sebastian and fully supports the idea of Circles. However, due to his experience as a slave, Fenris is willing to believe that corruption has occurred in some circles and somewhat understands why the mages would eventually rebel.Following the Kirkwall Incident, Fenris will leave in order to continue his campaign against the Tevinter slavers. Now that Danaris is finally dead, he's able to operate more freely without the need of assistance. Fenris continues to free elven slaves from their masters but does not really mingle with any of the dalish as he has no interest in them.In the case of a romanced Fenris, he will stay with his partner but will still want to continue his work with freeing slaves.

INQUISITION AND VEILGUARD

art by m-oshun @ tumblr

9:40 - 9:41 Dragon (Three - Four years after the Kirkwall Incident)Fenris is eventually separated from the Kirkwall group for various reasons, operating under the nickname “The Blue Wraith” while fighting Tevinter slavers across the region. Despite whatever their reason may be, Fenris feels somewhat bitter about being ‘left behind’ by his friends for the most part. Instead of dwelling on it, he turns his anger towards the slavers he’s vowed to kill. Alongside him, a Dalish elf by the name of Shirallas accompanies him with freeing slaves all across Northern Thedas. The two hold similar ideologies, but Shirallas is willing to risk it all for power he presumes will help them further. Fenris dismisses the idea entirely, knowing what one had to sacrifice for power on that scale.9:44 - 9:45 DragonAt this point in his life he is alone once more, Shirallas having parted ways in order to chase the power promised by the Magister they were once fighting against. Due to his association with the elf he is presumed to be involved in the disappearance of Magister Alerio Invidus. The group following him initially attack him, only broken up by her companion Vaea so they can ask him questions. It turns out their goals somewhat align, but Fenris rejects their help, disillusioned towards the idea of a team or partners.Despite him dismissing them, they follow anyway as he tracks down Magister Nenealeus and his associates. After several encounters, Fenris eventually concedes and allows their group to join him as he continues on towards Castellum Tenebris. Castellum Tenebris is the former fortress of Danaris, a place he was intimately familiar with. They eventually encounter Shirallas, now infused with red lyrium like Fenris was years ago. The group manages to defeat him, but the encounter is not without cost - one of their group is killed in battle. Despite his previous reservations about partners, Fenris offers to join the group and head down South with them.

9:52 - 9:53 Dragon (Veilguard)Fenris once again returns to operating on his own, but this time keeps in constant contact with his former companions across Thedas. His operations have changed slightly - he’s now targeting Venatori as well. He continues working to free slaves but with the newfound danger he finds himself, in he’s forced to also deal with the dangerous mages threatening Thedas as a whole. Unfortunately, he’s no longer able to operate on his own freely due to the newfound danger from the blight and old gods.He can be found and recruited in Dock Town during a fight with the Venatori trying to capture him. Fenris has worked with the Shadow Dragons on occasion as a last resort but is not entirely friendly with them due to their affiliation with Magisters. It's only thanks to Varric vouching for Rook in letters that he would be willing to tolerate a Mage or Shadow Dragon Rook, but is friendly enough with anyone else. Regardless of his personal feelings, Fenris knows the situation is dire and willingly lends his abilities.• Fenris is WARY towards Emmrich, Neve, and Bellara due to their status as mages. Neve's affiliation with the Shadow Dragons makes him less inclined to engage with her unless it's necessary. He is not as hostile to mages as he once was before but is still cautious.• Fenris RESPECTS Lucanis and Taash. Lucanis is a mage-killer, so naturally he approves. Taash is affiliated with the Lords of Fortune and Isabela by extension, so he is rather warm with them as well.• Fenris is NEUTRAL towards Davrin. He likes Assan a lot though. As his default state is non-romanced, Fenris is semi-illiterate due to his past as a slave. He has worked on learning it over the years on his own time but still struggles with more advanced literature.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY   Fenris is a man haunted by a past he can no longer remember, only privy to bits of information he has gathered over the years. It has left him cynical and distrustful, unable to easily grasp the idea that there are good people without ulterior motives. However, he does acknowledge there is innocence in the world and much of his initial wariness is directed towards those with magical talents. He believes mages are dangerous and that their power needs to be contained. Fenris supports the idea of Circles, but is also willing to acknowledge some have fallen to corruption. Throwing a mage back to where they've been abused is not something he agrees with, as it conflicts with his stance against slavery. Despite his initial wariness regarding mages, he can grow to make exceptions and trust them like others. It usually takes time.In his youth, he is more impulsive and likely to resort to violent means if he believes it is deserved. As he gets older, he is able to grapple with his trauma and can be convinced to back down as needed. It still pisses him off, but he is a little more diplomatic.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - Determined

Veilguard     *As the Blue Wraith, Fenris has been a thorn in the Imperium's side for well over a decade now. Now with the Venatori clambering for power and the Elven Gods return, his lyrium abilities have become a magnet for trouble. Faced with the prospect of attempting to evade the might of the Venatori on his own, Fenris lends his service and power to the Veilguard. Though he stills works to free slaves, he knows none of that will matter if the Gods have their way.  Inquisition  Fenris is currently operating along the border between Northern and Southern Thedas as he deals with slavers. Following the Kirkwall Incident, his hostility towards mages has increased somewhat but he generally avoids them. Unless they happen to be involved with the slavers he is fighting.  Kirkwall  Fenris currently resides in Kirkwall, living in Danaris's mansion for the time being. Cullen Rutherford

ORIGINS

9:11 - 9:24 DragonCullen Stanton Rutherford was born in Honnleath, a village in Ferelden that was destroyed during the Fifth Blight. He’s the second eldest of four children, with Mia as the eldest, Branson after him, and Rosalie was the youngest. Much of his time was spent playing with his siblings while their parents worked, Mia often left in charge to watch over her younger siblings. Cullen tended to help as well, deeply fond of his siblings and eager to watch over them. Sometimes he would take some time for himself though, often visiting a nearby lake to either fish or skip some rocks. Other times he would visit the local Chantry, watching the templars as they went through basic drills. At the age of eight years old, Cullen had finally decided that he wished to join the Templars when he was older. As he grew older and a little more independent, Cullen would visit the local Chantry and beg the Templars to train him. Even a few simple stances were enough for the young boy. Luckily for him, they were willing to humor him by passing on a few simple stances and correcting how he held his wooden sword. Despite the casualness of it, Cullen took it seriously and even began training back at home in between chores. Mia became his biggest supporter, encouraging Branson and Rosalie to help him train. When Cullen was ten years old, he was given his first waster by the Chantry’s Templars, impressed by how quickly his skills had grown with such little guidance. It was crafted with wood from the nearby forests, a perfectly built training sword. The Chantry’s symbol was carved into the hilt and the point dulled so he couldn’t hurt himself. Cullen was absolutely delighted by the gift, especially when Mia also gave him a sheath to carry it around. With all of the support he received, Cullen’s determination only grew, his talent eventually noticed when he was thirteen years old.9:24 - 9:31At the age of thirteen, Cullen’s abilities were finally acknowledged when a visiting Knight-Captain caught sight of him practicing his forms. Impressed with his ability, Cullen was offered a chance for formal training, an opportunity his parents easily agreed with. Templars were considered an honorable profession in Ferelden, and Cullen’s strong desire did not go unnoticed. The night before he was set to leave, Cullen met with his siblings by the lake for a proper goodbye.

Branson gifted him a lucky coin as a farewell gift, something he still keeps with him to this day. Rosalie gave him the biggest hug she could muster, and Mia promised to stay in touch. Upon returning to their family home, he almost bid farewell to his parents and promised to return whenever he was able to. Before the crack of dawn, Cullen left with the Knight-Commander, taken to a more secluded Chantry to avoid any unnecessary distractions.Despite showing early promise, Cullen was no prodigy - he was the product of hard work. He was not the youngest nor did he have the benefit of proper training, but he endeavored to catch up all the same. Cullen was in fact further behind than the rest of his peers, many of whom either came from noble families or had been training for far longer with proper teachers. Yet he managed to catch up with them in the end, spending long hours at night perfecting his forms and swordsmanship. He improved to the point where he matched the rest of his peers, taking his vows and lyrium at the age of eighteen.Cullen was assigned to Kinloch Hold, the Circle tower that overlooked Lake Calenhad. As a newly recruited Templar, he was assigned to watch over the mages undergoing their Harrowing. It was his responsibility to kill any mages that succumbed to the demons, effectively failing their harrowing. What happened when a mage failed was a closely guarded secret, the mages only aware of their brethren vanishing afterwards. Cullen took his station very seriously, dedicated to the idea of protecting the mages from demons as well as from those who became abominations. As the Fifth Blight overtakes Ferelden Uldred, a Senior Enchanter of the Ferelden Circle of Magi, stages a coup at Kinloch Hold. The tower becomes overrun by abominations and blood mages and Cullen is trapped on the fourth floor by Uldred. He is tortured by demons and blood mages alike, driving him to his breaking point. While the blood mages are unable to tear any useful information from him, Cullen’s will is in tatters. Whatever sympathy and care he had for the mages is completely gone, the Templar convinced that every mage in the chambers must die.Whatever the Hero decides, Cullen is forced to accept it as Knight-Commander Greagoir will make the final decision with First Enchanter Irving’s input considered as well. Regardless of what happens, Cullen is deeply traumatized by the incident, eventually sent off to recover at the Chantry in Greenfell. It is there he is finally able to get in contact with Mia again, only to discover that his parents and village had been destroyed by the Blight. All of this combined deeply affects Cullen and he grows to district mages entirely. He no longer sees them as people and regards them warily, even without cause.

KIRKWALL

9:31 - 9:37 DragonEventually, Cullen is shipped off to Kirkwall under Knight-Commander Meredith’s command. He is known to be somewhat cold to the mages, never quite crossing the line but prejudiced all the same. The effects of his trauma still remain years later, something Knight-Commander Meredith notice’s and takes advantage of. As someone who had also experienced incredible pain due to the dangers of magic, she is able to empathize with Cullen’s experience and draw him to her side. Cullen falls in line with her rather easily, eventually promoted to her second in command as the Knight-Captain of Kirkwall.Cullen is often deeply concerned for the safety of his fellow Templars to the point where he’s willing to ask for outside help to investigate their disappearances. At the same time though he is still very reactive to anyone potentially compromised, fully willing to strip Keran of his commission at the mere chance. During his time in Kirkwall his views slowly change for the worse in regards to mages, no longer seeing them as people but rather ticking time bombs. With the people of Kirkwall often helping apostates as well due to the rumors about Meredith, he sees it as necessary to take more extreme measures in some cases. However, Cullen does have a boundary he will not cross. While he may not see mages as people, he is not entirely eager about overdoing in terms of their treatment. Though he will not openly condemn any of the more extreme plans like a mass tranquil plan, he does not support it either. At most he considers it an option that could be used, but would rather it only happen if the mages push them too far.Eventually, Meredith crosses into a level of extremism that Cullen is hesitant to follow. He expresses his concerns about her methods and treatment of mages, but does follow her into battle after Anders blows up the Chantry. Cullen disagrees with Meredith about the right of annulment, acknowledging that the situation here is not as serious as the one in Ferelden. Even with everything that had happened there, they did manage to save some mages. When Meredith decides to arrest Hawke, Cullen fully breaks from Meredith, siding with the Champion and fighting against her.Following the events of Kirkwall, Cullen rallies the remaining Templars to reestablish order in the city.

Spite

xx:xx - 9:51 DragonIn the fade the concept of time and birth do not exist. Spirits are formed from the ether in the fade, beginning as wisps as their concept of self is weak at first. As they are a reflection of the waking world, they slowly begin to form a sense of identity, latching onto a singular mortal experience and crafting themselves around that. However, as a consequence of their identities being tied to the mortal world, weak and forgotten concepts eventually fade over time. Their ether returns to the fade once more, capable of reforming as something else. Yet that lost concept can never return again, altering the waking world in ways most will never understand. They will never know the absence of a presence lost to time.Determination was an older spirit, formed during the First Blight and born of mortal perseverance. He watched as countless mortals fell but persevered during the longest blight in history, often taking the guise of Wardens who gave it their all. Determination saw the will of mortals across multiple races combat the endless Darkspawn, some never knowing peace in their lifetime. He witnessed the fall of Dumat by the hands of the Wardens, finally securing peace for the waking world for a time. Determination was intrigued by the mortals, entranced by the countless centuries lost to determination that never wavered. In the aftermath he spent a lot of time peeking at the mortals as they rebuilt, never once crossing over.

His knowledge of the First Blight and countless following Blights is limited however as he only recalls the moments of 'determination' that have occurred. He cannot recall the moments of betrayal or the worst of losses as nothing there aligned with his nature. Much of his time as a Spirit of Determination was spent following the Grey Wardens specifically, often accompanied by Faith and Hope. Eventually he stopped following them during the Fourth Blight due to their blighting of the Griffons, an act of desperation he could not handle with. He does not recall the events that led to it however as he washed himself clean of those moments. After the Fourth Blight, Determination spends much of his time traveling alone, observing smaller acts of Determination here and there. Sometimes he watched a child winning a race amongst friends or a mage successfully navigating their Harrowing from a distance. It was not as compelling as the Wardens were but that single act in the Fourth Blight had put him off them entirely.Eventually he feels himself called once more towards a stronger act of Determination in Antiva, not from a Warden but an ordinary man trapped in the Ossuary. Determination travels through the fade, watching from the other side of the veil until he is forcibly ripped from the fade by the Venatori. Determination is forcibly transformed into a demon of Spite, his anger so violent and vengeful that Determination cannot reconcile with himself. Spite is tortured and nearly destroyed entirely during his time in the Ossuary until he is forcibly sealed inside Lucanis.

9:51 DragonSpite felt nothing but uncontrollable anger at the beginning of his transformation into a demon, his ire directed at all mortals at first. He could feel the fade but not reach it entirely, only able to pull things occasionally through small weak points. Trapped inside a mortal man was an inconceivable violation of his existence as the world around him was static and unchanging. It did not bend to his will nor did it withstand the tests of time, only adding to his fury. Lucanis was unfortunate enough to be the only one Spite could lash out at, the demon throwing tantrums and attacking him whenever he felt overwhelmed by his anger.Lucanis was a strong-willed man however, his own determination strong enough to allow a moment of clarity from Spite. The assassin took advantage of this to negotiate a deal with the demon as they both wanted the deaths of the Venatori who had trapped them in the Ossuary. Spite agreed to the deal eventually, allowing Lucanis to remain in control for a majority of the time. However Spite did require Lucanis to relinquish control when his mind fell weak, whether to emotions or to fatigue. The demon would not allow Lucanis to fall victim to normal human emotions like empathy of forgiveness if it might prevent him from getting revenge.Their agreement allowed Lucanis to remain whole compared to the other prisoners in the Ossuary, demons erupting from their bodies like cocoons. Spite simply did not try to force himself out, content on waiting for the perfect chance to kill the Venatori. It amused him to see the Venatori angry that Lucanis was still alive, appeasing his new nature and allowing him to stay committed to their deal.

Spite was still not a benevolent spirit though, the demon remaining mostly passive whenever the Venatori would try to draw Spite out. They would torture Lucanis in an attempt to try to get their way while Spite simply remained hidden. The demon did not feel sorry for Lucanis's suffering as he was still somewhat angry at mortals in general. He did lend his power to him however, healing the man so he would not die prematurely. He was also not always a 'well-behaved' demon, occasionally striking out at Lucanis when something did not go his way. Staying trapped for as long as he was drove the demon man, his occasional tantrums also hurting Lucanis as a result. Spite would eventually calm down after a while when Lucanis refused to engage with his anger, lingering in the background of his mind. When Lucanis would fall asleep, Spite would take over and attempt to free them himself. It never worked of course but Lucanis often woke with bruised knuckles from the demon punching walls. Eventually the duo were transferred to a different part of the Ossuary, frozen in ice magic to prevent the demon from causing any more issues. Originally meant to be taken elsewhere, they were both saved by Rook's timely intervention, the temporary weakening of the fade causing disruption throughout the Ossuary.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY   As a Spite demon, much of his personality revolves around being spiteful. He takes pleasure in seeing others harmed in vindicative ways whether they're friend or foe. Even if the spiteful action is small Spite approves of it wholeheartedly, even going as far as to encourage it.Over time he begins to experience different emotions through Lucanis, unable to clear himself of it as he normally would before. He learns desperation, desire, love, pain and much more solely by being connected to a mortal. It causes his existence to develop into something more complex, the demon capable of negotiating and adapting to new situations.Perseverance is his main goal in 'life' but he eventually begins to want and enjoy more.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - Negotiator

OTHER

POWERS / ABILITIES   Demonic Power - As a demon, Spite has access to demonic energy he can use to power himself as well as allies. He also has access to a set of spectral wings form his original demonic form before being sealed into Lucanis. His power can heal or hurt those who come into direct contract with it.Heightened smell - Due to his demonic form, Spite can smell things easier than most mortals.Emotional sense - Due to his connection to the fade, Spite can sense the emotions of those around them and understand them. Spite cannot sense the emotions of tranquil or dwarves as they are not connected to the fade.

VERSES

Determination     *Born from the concept of Determination, he was a spirit of the fade who followed those who embodied the emotion the most. He does not know of other things as he does not allow himself to but has witnessed countless historical moments through the ages.✦ Post-Veilguard he has been successfully free from Lucanis and healed. He chooses to forsake his memories of Spite to return as Determination, remembering only smalls bit of his time with them. Determination sticks by House Dellamortedue to Lucanis's determination to rebuild Treviso and the Crows in whichever way he chooses.✦ Pre-Veilguard he is a spirit that wanders and visits those at their lowest points. Often times they display the most determination to change their life for the better.  Spite    As his form was shredded by the violent moment the Venatori ripped him from the fade, Determination gave way to Spite. He is a demon that wants nothing more than to rid the mortal world of the Venatori, willing to do whatever it takes to get his revenge.✦ Veilguard he is currently 'possessing' Lucanis against his will. The two have come to an agreement in order to rid the world of the Venatori, though for now they are starting at Zara Renata. He allows Lucanis to use his power freely but make no mistake - he does not simply concede to Lucanis's authority.  Mortal    As they were finally freeing Spite from Lucanis, the demon made an unexpected decision that would surprise even himself. He chooses to keep the memories of his demon life as well as the ones from Determination, resulting in the creation of a mortal form for himself. It's incredibly disorientating and he doesn't really know how he did it but...he's here now.

Viago de Riva

9:15 - 9:28 DragonViago was born to King Fulgeno II and Livia, one of the many maids that attended to the Antivan royal family. It was no secret that the King bedded many women, siring an absurd amount of illegitimate heirs over the years. Viago was simply one among many, not the youngest nor the oldest. His earliest memories involve toddling along behind his mother as she tended to the palace, practically invisible to the royal family as they dealt with the scandal brewing. He had in fact met a few of his half-siblings but never maintained contact due to the rising tensions between the King’s many mistresses and the Queen-Consort.When he was five, in order to protect the line of succession, he was offered a choice alongside the other illegitimate heirs. Viago could accept being exiled from Antiva in exchange for a life of luxury or remain in Antiva under the Crows, forfeiting his right to succeed entirely. Of all the children, Viago was the only one to join the Crows, his ambition strong even in his youth. The rest of the children were sent to live in exile across Thedas. Unlike the children, the mistresses of King Fulgeno II were all killed for their ‘treachery’ against the Queen-Consort to avoid encouraging any future mistresses to attempt to bed the King. It is one of the many reasons he looks upon his Father with contempt, though his anger has tempered significantly over the years. Now he simply sees the weakness of the Crown.

As the outlier amongst the bastard children, Viago caught the attention of the Heir present the day he made his decision. That same Heir would bid and eventually win the right to train Viago alongside several other recruits he had picked up over the course of a month. Viago’s heritage mattered little to his Heir, the senior Crow training him just as harshly as the rest of the children under his care. It was this treatment that actually allowed Vaigo to respect him, the boy taking to his training rather quickly. At the beginning Vaigo even initially developed close bonds with the other fledglings under the Heir’s care. That is, until their Heir changed the rules halfway through. Suddenly it was established that only a few of them would earn the recognition of the Crows, pitting the children against each other. Viago learned very quickly to trust nobody, developing a severe sense of paranoia over the years. After one incident where he nearly died from being poisoned he became guarded. Viago no longer allowed anyone to touch his belongings, food, or even himself. It eventually developed into haphephobia, though thankfully not as severe as it could be. This decision is what allowed him to succeed though, the boy eventually gaining full status as an assassin at the age of 13.At the end of his training he was recruited by House de Riva, his Heir revealed to be a member of them only after he accepted.

9:28 - 9:45 DragonUnlike many Crows, Viago has never received his tattoo marking him as a member of House De Riva. The boy flew into a rage the moment they attempted to touch him, nearly killing the Crows responsible for the process. It was only his lineage that protected him from being killed for insubordination, a fact he is all too aware of. Instead he was punished with mediocre, cheap contracts for a while, unable to accumulate much coin himself for several years. Viago was annoyed by the punishment but relented, preferring this to having anyone touch his skin with a chemical.During this time Viago also began working with poisons, spending long nights in his makeshift lab. He developed several new poisons over the years, naming them ‘affectionately’ with custom names. Some of these names included “Pillow Talk, the Snuff of Legends, Meet the Maker, and Up and Adder”. While they were indiscernible to outsiders, Viago knew the components and antidote to each one of his poisons by heart. His talent became known quickly, the assassin eventually rising in the ranks and paying off the small amount of debt his initial rejection had accumulated. Once he was no longer burdened by the additional coin owed to House De Riva, Viago began investing in better equipment and perfecting his techniques.

By the time he was in his early twenties, Viago was considered a master assassin on track to replacing the guildmaster of House de Riva in the future. It was also around this time he became more acquainted with the likes of Andarateia Cantori and the Dellamorte boys. They developed a ‘friendship’ built on respect of each other's work, though the other three often gave Viago migraines. Illario and Lucanis were two rowdy while Teia was too insistent on teasing him relentlessly. Their behavior eventually caused Viago to develop milder poisons, not enough to kill but enough to incapacitate in case he needed to do so. Illario and Lucanis were the prime subjects for his ‘punishments’ for annoying the shit out of him, though Teia came close.Viago developed a crush on Teia during this time, though her reputation deterred him from pursuing anything. Seeing her with others had caused him to develop a few insecurities, Viago’s trust issues only amplifying them. Teia was simply too beautiful for the likes of him, especially in comparison to those she hooked up with. He was afraid that should he somehow manage to win her favor he would lose it to another, resulting in a bit of unresolved tension between them. At the age of 30, Vaigo succeeded the previous guildmaster of House De Riva and eventually became the Fifth Talon of the Crows as a result. A few years later Teia would also join the Talons as the Seventh Talon, his unresolved crush from before blossoming into a problem once again.

9:45 - 9:53In 9:45, the Antaam officially broke away from the Qun under the leadership of Rasaan and began invading Tevinter first before turning their sights on Antiva. However, before beginning their invasion, the Antaam chose to first cripple the Antivan Crows. As Antiva had no official standing army, the Antivan Crows were all that stood between the Antaam and their prize. Approaching Emil Kortez, the Fourth Talon of the Crows, they brokered a deal to offer a peaceful invasion in exchange for the lives of the Crow’s Talons. All Eight Talons of the Crows were called to Verdant Isle for the first time in a long time in order to address the issue of the Antaam. Viago was not as comfortable with the idea given the danger but relented, Caterina Dellamorte’s authority intimidating even Viago. It was there he also met the other Talons for the first time in a while as well, the man resentful of Dante Balazar specifically due to his own feelings for Teia Cantori. Though the man was ‘innocent’ enough, Viago could not help but compare himself to the other.

Days later led to the killing of four Talons in quick succession, suspicion placed on Viago due to his specialty with poisons. He was locked away in his room temporarily, eventually developing a plan with Teia in secret to try to discover the true killer. During their search he was nearly killed when a snake was hidden in his dresser, poisoning the man as it lunged out and bit him. It was only his tolerance to poison that gave Teia enough time to administer the poison, the two reconciling briefly before moving to apprehend the culprit. Emil Kortez was killed for his treachery but the damage had already been done. With Four of their Talons dead and the Houses scrambling to replace them, the Antaam invaded Treviso with ease.Following the invasion, the Talons began working towards disrupting the Antaam and pushing back to prevent Antiva from falling. It was during this that a certain ‘Crow’ from House De Riva eventually disrupts on of their plans, forcing Viago to send them away to protect them.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY   Viago is a stern but compassionate man who has dedicated his entire life to the Crows since he was a boy. When given the opportunity to leave Antiva rich or join the Crows, he chose the former. To him, Antiva has always been his home and he would never abandon it even under the scrutinizing gaze of the Queen-Consort and his "Father". Those in his House are trained to by loyal to the Crows, to dedicate themselves fully to Antiva just as well.Due to his heritage, Viago has always worked exceptionally hard to prove himself outside of his Father's influence. His ambition has always been a double-edged sword - he rose through the ranks of the Crows quickly but still longs for more. He views it as a disgrace that the Crown is so weak, especially when his half-siblings would squander it's potential. Out of all the children of the King, Viago believes he alone could truly empower the Crown to it's former glory. It is a source of contention beween not only himself and the Crown but House Valisti as well, their merchant princes a different threat to his vision of Antiva.Despite his ambition and confidence, Viago actually has several insecurities and paranoia that hold him back. He is deeply afraid of being poisoned to the point where he will not allow others to touch him, his food, or his belongings no matter who they are. Everything is tested rigorously for poison and he even doses himself daily to build his tolerance. Even those close to him are not safe from his fear, though he has slowly worked towards building that form of trust with at least Teia Cantori. As for his insecurities? They all revolve around Teia Cantori, a woman he finds so beautiful that he couldn't hope to be worthy of her gaze. He has often compared himself to others at times solely when it comes to her. One of Viago's other big fears is that she might slip from his grasp.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - Determined & Loyal
- Ambitious
- Cunning
  NEGATIVE TRAITS   - Paranoid
- Testy
- Insecure
TEMPERAMENT   Sterm but harsh, a little insecure when it comes to a certain woman.

OTHER

POWERS / ABILITIES   Master Poisoner - Viago's specialty is poisons and antidotes, crafting and distributing potent toxins to a majority of House de Riva. He crafts different ones for different occasions and is also capable of working with a few minor potions as well. Though he is somewhat generous with his poisons, they do come at a cost and he keeps his strongest ones to himself.Master Assassin - Viago is the Fifth Talon of the Crows and is considered a fully capable assassin. He excels in all basic skills an assassin needs including lockpicking, stealth, and killing without a trace.Diplomat - Due to his lineage, Viago is the current liaison between the King and the Crows. He does not make decisions for the Crows entirely but he does relay information back and forth between the two parties. He is a skilled negotiator and has brokered several different deals between other Houses and business partners.

VERSES

Main     *Viago is the Fifth Talon of the Crows and the guildmaster of House De Riva. By default, Rook is a Crow for all non-rook muses.✦ By default, he is in a relationship with Teia Cantori for all non-teia muses. For Teia muses we will need to decide whether they're together or not.  Prince    After rising through the ranks rapidly, Viago is requested to the palace by the Queen-Consort of Antiva. His ability and ambition had been noticed by the royals over the years, especially in comparison to those in the line of succession. Wanting to expand the Crown's power finally after years of conceding to the Merchant Princes, the Queen-Consort offers him a deal. He would be added to the line of succession once more in exchange for expanding the Crown's power within the Crows.Viago accepts the terms, angering House Valisti in the process. Tensions between the two Houses are higher than ever before, but Prince Viago hardly cares.

Wriothesley ?

9:17 - 9:29Wriothesley never knew his parents, orphaned from a young age with little memories of his time prior to being ‘adopted’. He was born in Orlais to an unknown family, sent to an orphanage with nothing to his name. Not long after that he was adopted by a couple from Antiva who took in children like him, those whose lineage ended with them. Whatever deal was made was unknown to him, his earliest memories being in Antiva rather than Orlais. As a child he felt ‘loved’ by his foster parents and siblings, enjoying a rather lavish lifestyle considering the amount of them. They were well fed and clothes, homeschooled and given many toys to play with. Each child knew that this place was temporary, a bridge between their former life and their forever home. Though they still formed close bonds with each other, bonding even when they knew it would not last. It was a good home for them, far better than the streets. He was a particularly rambunctious child, often getting himself into trouble inside and outside of the house. Wriothesley enjoyed darting through the alleyways, dodging the shady figures while occasionally spotting a Crow here and there. The Crows presence was normal to Antivans, their cloaked figures hardly worth any concern as they crossed the rooftops. So he had little to fear for the most part, often returning home with messy clothes from playing around too much. Life was good. However, at the age of 12 Wriothesley discovered a terrible secret. He found that his so-called ‘foster parents’ actually dealt with children, raising them in order to sell them off to the highest bidders. Many of his older foster siblings were already long gone, their whereabouts unknown after payment had been exchanged. A few had been sold to the Crows as well but many of their buyers were in Tevinter. In a fit of rage, Wriothesley cornered his ‘foster parents’, killing them before they could escape.

He was apprehended by local authorities when they arrived on the crime scene, the young boy simply standing in a puddle of blood. Wriothesley was dimly aware of the approaching company, not entirely there after his fit of rage. He vaguely remembered the shouts of the officers before he passed out, overwhelmed by the sheer emotion that had consumed him prior. When he woke up he found himself being treated by healers, strapped down to prevent him from attacking. It was an unusual situation but Wriothesley knew what he had done - understood the consequences of so-called 'murder without cause'. Though it was not unusual for murder to occur in the streets he had been caught. So unlike man others, he was to be tried and given two choices. Wriothesley could either be jailed for several years or join the Crows.if you are here this is a wip

Illario Dellamorte

9:16 - 9:20 Dragon
Illario is the second son to Adelina and Nico Dellamorte, two former assassins that once belonged to House Dellamorte. His father Nico was Caterina’s son, the second oldest child among five, while his mother was a lower ranked assassin from another Cuchillo that served under House Dellamorte. Anna Dellamorte was his elder sister by seven years and a fledgling-in-training by the time of her death in 9:20 Dragon. In his youth he spent a lot of time with Anna, often cared for by her or one of the many servants that served House Dellamorte. When she was unavailable he also spent some time with his other cousins like Lucanis, though the other was hardly a year older than he was. He and Lucanis were playmates for the longest time, the youngest of the eight grandchildren of House Dellamorte.
When he was only two years old, House Velardo declared war on House Dellamorte, vying for the First Talon seat House Dellamorte had held for several decades. Nico and Adelina Dellamorte were the first to die by House Velardo’s blade, forcing Anna and Illario’s care to be shifted elsewhere. Ilario was given to Lucanis’s parents while Anna was allowed more independence due to her age and level of training. They spent less time together as a result, but Lucanis filled that void left behind in Anna’s absence. Eventually the two were hidden by Caterina as more of House Dellamorte was culled, Illario’s other cousins, aunts, and uncles falling. In 9:20 Dragon, when Illario was four years old, Anna was killed by an assassin while venturing out of Treviso for the first time. It was during her trial, a contract she was given in order to prove herself as a fully capable Crow. Though he was only four years old at her death, Illario mourned her for several years after, comforted only by Lucanis’s presence during that time. In that same year House Velardo’s war against House Dellamorte finally ended, leaving the two boys as the only survivors alongside Caterina.Illario attended a private funeral orchestrated by Caterina where she allowed them a moment to grieve, only to inform them that she would take over their training from then on. It was one of the few times where Illario was afforded the space to cry, though Lucanis remained stoic during the entire ordeal. Caterina said nothing at the time, allowing both boys to display their emotions however they felt comfortable.

9:20 - 9:38 DragonTheir training was grueling and harsh, a sharp contrast to the regime formerly undertaken by House Dellamorte Crows. In times past, while their Crows had all come out strong and skilled, their training had been a little gentler and less demanding. They could afford the highest caliber equipment and were destined to pass their trials no matter what. It was more political than anything else, the threat of death never as real as it was with House Dellamorte consisting of only three members. Now that the situation had changed, Caterina took it upon herself to ensure her living grandchildren would not suffer the same fate. By any means necessary.A majority of his childhood was consumed by training, the boy forced to endure bouts of starvation and brutal punishments. He had, on many occasions, found himself bleeding and bruised from the crack of Caterina’s cane against his body. It was only because Lucanis was by his side that he could endure it to a degree, learning to mask his own feelings and anger in the process. Unlike Lucanis, who repeatedly pushed the boundaries as much as possible, Illario taught himself to appease Caterina. He tried to desperately earn her favor by acquiescing to her demands and punishments even when it left him broken.During the rare moments when they were free and left to their own devices, he would tag along behind Lucanis when the other boy snuck out. They would scale the buildings in Treviso, staring at the stars and simply sneaking around. It was these moments of peace he appreciated the most, just appreciating Treviso for what it was without the blood and bruises. Of course, they were still fledglings, often getting caught during their little escapades. At one point they had both slipped off a roof, landing in nearby bushes. Caterina had been upset back then, though Lucanis had shouldered the blame for both while Illario said nothing. She had seen through the lies easily of course and punished them both often. He resented Caterina back then but opted to mask it entirely, preferring to attempt to simply tolerate the abuse thrown at them. Illario was a dedicated Crow despite it all, his desire to succeed her in the future overruling whatever dignity he might have defended. It would all be worth it in the end when Caterina chose him as her successor over Lucanis, the other boy hardly interested in the title. He would sacrifice damn near anything to secure his future.

Illario and Lucanis both passed their trials at the same time, recognized as fully-fledged Crows in their pre-teens. They exclusively worked together on contracts at the beginning, building both skill and experience out in the real world. It also offered them protection from other Houses, Caterina careful not to allow anyone else the chance at completely culling House Dellamorte. Of course it did not stop the attempts, but Illario and Lucanis worked well together. They dispatched their targets and any adversaries that attempted to slit their throats, though Lucanis was better suited for a direct approach.Eventually they began to work on specific skill sets, Lucanis specifically assigned to act as their mage-killer. She did not ask anything of Illario, hardly affording him much attention beyond requesting he specialize as well. Illario chose to pursue seduction and trickery, working to develop the ability to navigate situations through his personality alone. Lying was something he had grown accustomed to over the years as a coping method, so he adapted it to his work fairly easily. He began focusing on ‘what he needed to be’ for certain situations, learning to read people’s body language and understand the nuances behind their words.9:38 Dragon - 9:51 DragonEventually, Lucanis and Illario began embarking on their own solo contracts rather than being forced to work together constantly. Though they complimented each other’s skill set it was important for them to grow as independent assassins. They both became Master Assassins rather quickly, the best at their particular specialties, though rumors began floating around. Lucanis was whispered to be Caterina’s favorite and her heir despite Illario’s efforts. It began to build up resentment within him as he continued to try and impress the First Talon, only to be overlooked each time.Illario began toying with the different ways he could force Caterina’s hand, loving his family but adamant that it was he who deserved the title of First Talon. It began to eat away at his mind, consuming his thoughts at times while he continued to work on contracts. When he and Lucanis took a contract together to kill Ambrose Forfex, he was still on the fence about what lengths he would go to in order to secure the future he so rightly deserved. After completing the contract and witnessing Lucanis’s ‘weaker’ side, they spoke at a bar. Though Lucanis did not desire the First Talon position, it became obvious the other man would do nothing else to assist Illario. So, he accepted that Lucanis had turned into an obstacle rather than a pillar to lean on, reluctantly acknowledging that he would have to be removed. It was not an easy decision to come to as he still loved the other like a brother, but his desire for power and acknowledgement was far greater. Illario began scheming in the background, eventually intercepting a few missives between Venatori that were searching for the famed ‘The Demon of Vyrantium;. Illario kept the information to himself, opting to instead secure an audience with Zara Renata to put his own plans in motion.

Illario seduced the older Venatori, whispering promises of vengeance and blood in exchange for her assistance in removing Lucanis from the picture. It took a few months to gain her trust before she agreed to bargain with him, Illario providing Lucanis’s location in exchange for a small pin enriched with blood magic. He secured it beneath his vest, hiding it from view and allowing her some level of control. When Lucanis was finally captured by the blood mage, she assured him his cousin was killed.Despite his cousin's death by his own mechanisms, Illario grieved for him as well. It was similar to what he had felt when he lost Anna previously, more so than the death of his parents and other family members. Though he often wore masks to suit the situation's needs, he allowed it to fall for just one single moment during the wake for Lucanis. Eventually he forced himself to move on, instead resuming his work in convincing Caterina to step down. To his frustration, she refused to do so, and he was forced to once again begin plotting.9:51 Dragon - 9:52 DragonBy the time Solas’s ritual had freed the gods, Illario had remained dutifully by Caterina’s side, working with the Crows to fend off the Antaam invasion of Treviso. He remained in possession of the pin from Zara, continuing their little entanglement to ensure his hand in Lucanis’s ‘death’ remained a secret. It was a hard line to tread, for he was not fond of the Antaam’s presence nor their threat to what would eventually be his own power. The Venatori asked much of him and he provided it readily, sneaking around as needed and maintaining a mask at all times while in Treviso. When Caterina informed them of Lucanis’s survival, his anger was uncontrollable, though he smoothly redirected it rather than allowing it to blossom fully. Instead of focusing on Lucanis somehow remaining alive, he displayed anger over her secrecy, playing into the worried and grieving cousin role once again. By that time he had arranged for Caterina’s capture, allowing it to play out as needed while Rook and the others went to secure Lucanis. Though he had considered it for a moment, Illario chose not to have Caterina killed, preferring to keep some remnant of his family alive. While he was angry with Caterina for refusing to see his potential, he could not bring himself to kill another of his family, even with Lucanis now alive. If anything he saw it was a stroke of good fortune, an opportunity to secure his place as First Talon without having to kill either of the remaining Dellamortes. However he gambled too riskily, tried to take more than he could hold, and it would eventually all crumble to pieces with him on his knees before the Antivan Crows.

PERSONAL

PERSONALITY   Illario is a man who always wears a mask no matter who is with him. As a child he taught himself to lie, to adapt to the situation to find the result that favored him the most. Initially it was a way to avoid additional pain, eventually honed into a weapon to be wielded during his contracts. He's perceptive and cunning, often paying close attention to body language and tone in order to dissect the situation. It's near impossible to tell when he's speaking truthfully or acting genuinely even with his own family and 'friends'. Spinning a lie or sweet tune is easy enough for him, especially when he sees the prize at the end of the road. As with all relationships born from the desire to gain, the moment someone ceases to have any use he discards them entirely. It's easy enough for him to let go when it isn't real and he has left plenty of broken hearts in his wake.Despite his resentment of Caterina, eventually redirected towards Lucanis, he does care for his family and the Crows. While ambitious, the idea of sacrificing what he had left was rather daunting initially. Until he realized he could never move forward remaining as he was, perceiving Lucanis's lack of initiative on his behalf a betrayal in itself.  POSITIVE TRAITS   - ambitious

  NEGATIVE TRAITS   - ingenuine

He can control the flow of conversation with a few words and easily distract the weak-minded, tempting them with sweet promises that will never be fulfilled. He is not above using every tool available to him, including his own body.Diplomacy - As a potential heir to First Talon, Illario has been trained to negotiate on the behalf of the Crows and House Dellamorte. He is very knowledgeable about Antivan politics as well as Crow history in general. Since it has always been his intent to succeed Caterina, he has put great effort in honing his diplomacy skills to prove himself as a suitable Talon.

VERSES

Main    Illario is one of two potential heirs to the First Talon position. Due to his cousins early death, he was left as the only one but has not been able to convince Caterina to step aside. Frustrated, he stands by her side anyways, equally unhappy with the Antaam's invasion as well. When Lucanis returns unexpectedly, he's forced to rethink his plans, endeavoring to nudge Lucanis off his trial while still securing the First Talon position. When Caterina is 'killed', he takes over in her stead temporarily.

Mythal

War of Titans

In times long past, the elves did not exist in the manner that they do in the Dragon age. Before, they were spirits of the fade, embodying different aspects of the waking world. Some of which no longer exist in this world today, their concepts long forgotten to the waking world. Mythal herself was originally a Spirit of Benevolence, one who valued goodwill and charitableness above all else. However, she also held the waking world to rigid standards, and her benevolence could shift into righteous retribution in times where it did not meet her standards. Such was the way of Spirits, beings who embodied specific values and found it difficult to reconcile with the complexity of mortal emotions.Mythal, along with the other First Elves, chose to craft physical bodies using raw lyrium stolen from the Titans. At the time, they were not aware of the source of the lyrium, only that the ground shook beneath them as they tapped into it. She convinced Solas, at the time a Spirit of Wisdom, to cross over into the waking world to serve her with his wisdom. He did not agree readily at first, wary of the tremors that resulted at their extraction of lyrium and not truly interested in leaving the fade. Still, she persisted and he eventually relented, Mythal convincing him that she needed his wisdom to counter Elgar'nan's influence. However, the action of using lyrium to craft their bodies angered and hurt the Titans, causing a war to erupt between the two. In their time of need, the Evanuris rose up in defense of the First Elves, a large collection of powerful mages among the First Elves. In modern times, the Evanuris consist of nine individuals in total, including Fen’Harel. However, the true Evanuris was composed of many more warlords and generals, their names lost to time. Their War against the Titans was relentless, and while the First Elves were indeed strong, their struggle began to shift in the Titans favor. In response, Mythal had Solas craft a lyrium dagger with the power to shift the tides of war. It would allow them to sunder the Titan’s souls from their bodies, leaving them tranquil and their dreams trapped in the fade. He warned her of the consequences of doing so but Mythal took the dagger anyways, proclaiming it was the only way to settle this war for good. It did. The severed dreams of the Titans mutated in response, turning into the blight and taint that would threaten the world once again. Solas banished the blight to a prison known as the Black City, the structure still remaining in the Fade to this day. Spirits avoid it.With the Titans left tranquil, the war ended and left the First Elves victorious. However, the Evanuris did not keep the promise they had made prior, establishing themselves as the “Gods” of the elven people. Despite her close bond with Solas, Mythal agreed with Elgar'nan, choosing to rule by his side to “guide” the elven people from that moment on. Of all the Evanuris, only Solas refused, instead opting to rebel against the “tyrannical’ gods. Mythal was included in this despite her friendship with Solas.

Post - Elvhenan

Despite her ‘death’, Mythal still persisted beyond the betrayal of her kin, a fragment of what she used to be. This fragment traveled through the ages, residing within various elven and human hosts in order to accumulate her power once again. She only chose willing hosts who were sympathetic to her plight, allowing her spirit to reside within them until she moved on to the next host. Each iteration of her allowed her to foster her power over the ages, accumulating their shared knowledge similar to that of the Well of Sorrows. Those who agreed to shelter her were often given a boon of some kind, the fragment coming to their aid in times of need. Though Mythal would not allow herself or her power to be used for a wicked deed, including forcing another to accept her unwillingly. Her hosts often lived lives but were not immutable - they could be killed just as any other mortal. When they died, Mythal’s wisp would escape and seek out a new host, keeping their memories stored within.Mythal’s experiences with the elves and humans of Thedas change her for the better, allowing her to come to terms and reconcile with her error in judgement. She is given the opportunity to live in this new world and understand the consequences of the Evanuris’s actions so long ago. Unlike the fragment of her that is trapped in the crossroads, she comes to terms with the Veil and the new world shaped by its damage. Mythal’s benevolence is no longer confined to just the elven but Thedas as a whole, though her hosts remain solely human or elven. The Qun’s rigid structure would never allow one of their Qunari to host her and dwarves are incapable of doing so.While she does regain a fraction of her power, Mythal can never again return to her formy glory in its entirety. Her lifeforce is sustained only by willing hosts, where their personalities are often dominant. Mythal’s power and memories may be intertwined with them, but they do retain control for the most part. She can compel as needed should they attempt to wield her power for wrongdoing, but her hosts are selected with care. They must make their case before her and she has rejected some a few times. In Flemeth’s case, she is able to observe her daughters to determine their worthiness, accepting Morrigan as her successor after witnessing her deeds over the ages. Though she does not take over her willingly - it is, as always, a choice Morrigan must make.

Information

Personality

Benevolence    Mythal at her core is a benevolent, kind goddess that cares deeply for the elven people. As one of the First Elves, she has seen it as a duty to care for them and guide them following the War of Titans. Those who bear her mark are protected from harm and do not suffer in the same way as others would. However, they are also compelled to remain in service to her, their vallaslin binding them to her whims. It is the way in which she shows 'charity', though it as on her terms rather than theirs. Those who wish for her to intervene in their affairs must petition her directly, and should she find their desires to be of ill intent, she would smite them down just as quickly. Mythal will not allow her power to be used for malicious reasons nor to enrich oneself. One must prove themselves to be worthy of her favor before she will intervene on their behalf. The final flaw in here benevolence is that, if she decides it is for one's benefit, then she will act accordingly. Even if it ultimately harms the one being 'helped'. This thought process is the reason she choose to lead the Elven rather than stepping down as promised, deciding that their people needed someone to guide them. It is also why she has never interfered in the other "Gods" slaves, allowing it to happen so long as those who followed her were not touched. With how war-stricken the Evanuris already were, Mythal sought to solve their issues with diplomacy, striking bargains where needed.

Righteousness    As a Spirit that chose to don a physical form, she is not immune to the way emotions can be twisted and corrupted. When the world was as she deemed it should be, her kind and gracious nature remained intact. When she felt it wasn't, fiery righteousness coursed through her veins, giving way to the more violent side of her. She was completely willing to smite those who attempted to use her favor for wrongdoings. Petitioning her was not a guarantee of anything - there was risk involved. It was this righteousness that reared its head when Fen'Harel betrayed them, his rebellion striking discord between her and the other 'Gods'. She cared deeply for him, more so than any of the other Elven, and felt slighted by his decision. Mythal truly believed that their people required leaders to guide them, deciding that it was best for her to rule beside Elgar'nan to try and curb his tyrannical nature. However, she was not ignorant and did not consider Fen'Harel an enemy per say. Misguided, perhaps, but she knew he meant well. It was why, when he approached her with his accusations regarding the blight, she took it seriously and attempted to intervene without bloodshed. Only to be betrayed and killed for it.

Notes

Meta - Slavery   Those who bore Mythal's markings were always willing servants. She did not keep slaves nor did she force anyone to bear her mark, but those who did were compelled by her own whims following. One would gave her favor and protection but would be bound to her permanently. All of her servants, when their life was coming to an end, would pass their knowledge on to the vir'abelasan. Also known as the Well of Sorrows, it is an accumulation of knowledge from the ancient elves and was considered the price for her protection throughout their life.Mythal did not intervene in the slavery practices held by the other Evanuris. She was considered a voice of reason and did not approve of inner-conflict among the Evanuris - she was constantly intervening and finding more diplomatic ways to settle issues. However, her benevolence was for the elven people as a whole and sacrificing one for the many was not beyond her. However, she was not a fool, and took Solas's warning about the blight seriously. Though she would not go as far as he did by starting more war and conflict, she did attempt diplomacy to dissuade the other Evanuris from using the blight.

Meta - Elvhenan Society   The main Elven Pantheon were the strongest of the Evanuris, but not the only ones considered apart of that group. Following the War of Titans, there were countless power struggles between them until the remaining Nine were left, though Fen'Harel did not consider himself to be a god. Those beneath them were nobles 'chosen' by the Evanuris and did not bear any vallaslin but were still subservient to the Evanuris. They also owned the same slaves that served the Evanuris, their vallaslin based on whichever deity the noble followed. Those markings allowed their slaves to be controlled, but once the Veil was created and the elves connection to the fade was sundered, the ability was lost. Those markings were left as merely tattoos and the true nature of them lost to time. Mythal is not capable of compelling one even with her markings in current times still - only through a willing connect to her ( through the vir'abelasan or as a host of her fragment ).

VERSES

Elvhenan - All Mother   This verse follows Mythal in ancient times, when Elvhenan still existed. Following the War of Titans, Mythal establishes herself as one of the rulers of the Elven beside the rest of the Pantheon. She is considered to be a kind and gracious ruler, but does not intervene in other Evanuris's matters until it affects the elven people as a whole. Those in her service as there willingly, but compelled from that point forward to concede to her whims.Unlike the other Evanuris, those who bear her mark are protected from harm, but run the risk of her judgement all the same. Though she cares for the Elven people as a whole, that same graciousness is not extended nor does she often intervene unless they petition her directly.✦ Default does not assume anything more than joint-rulership with Elgar'nan. Anything more must be discussed.✦ She is an incredibly powerful mage, enough to be respected as a ruler beside Elgar'nan. Mythal does not accept disrespect - she may be kind but she is not a doormat.✦ Set after the War of Titans, but can also plot prior as well as needed.

Fragment - Righteousness   This verse is centered around the fragment trapped in the crossroads by Solas, the one that is more Righteousness than Benevolence. She has watched the world change for a thousand years, trapped where Solas left her after extracting her shard from the dagger. Unlike the other fragment, she has never experienced the change in the world directly, merely observing on the sidelines. Thus she is still stubborn in her ways, demanding to be petitioned properly rather than conceding willingly. If she does not find someone worthy, she will smite them just as easily. As is Mythal's way, she is not fond of being wrong but is capable of shifting her opinion as deemed necessary. She has simply never had a chance to before, trapped in the crossroads by herself. She is the closest to who Mythal was, but is still but a fragment.

Fragment - Benevolence   This verse is centered around the fragment that travels from host to host in the waking world, accumulating power through experience over time. It is most reflective of the benevolence she embodied when she first crafted a mortal form and is everchanging. She is farthest from who she was when she was apart of the Evanuris and has grown and settled her own regrets. Those in Thedas - not just the Elven - are people she considers worthy of living a life in the world that it is.✦ The one that resides in Flemeth, Morrigan and many others. It has changed quite a bit.✦ Merges with the other fragment at the end of Veilguard to become a bigger piece of Mythal.
